I wish there was a second part to this!!! and prayer and fasting works for more than weight loss actually. Just because you can't see it working with your eyes doesn't mean it's not working..... There is nothing comfortable about prayer because your acknowledging something outside of yourself. Do depending on your own efforts is never comfortable, but it is necessary

is worth more than a million pairs of hands clasped in prayer.

Prayer is an excuse to stay comfortably at home

while feeling like you are helping others.

Prayer is nearly always a substitute for getting involved.

Or, in the case of praying for the sick,

a substitute for common sense.

Prayer and fasting works, though,

as long as what you are praying for is weight loss :=)
