I was in elementary school in the 60's-too young to be involved in the "movement"-but one thing I noticed even as a child,and later felt confirmed by talking to those who were.....they were not ANTI-WAR in principle....they just were AFRAID OF BEING DRAFTED. They cared not a bit about democracy or dictatorship,the mideast,the Berlin Wall,.... just that being in the military was such hard work!

Funny how how his last major speech was in early 1989-"We have won!" As the Berlin Wall came down,and one at a time,the communist empire collapsed,and later,the Soviet Union itself disintegrated-where was Abbie,the socialist/marxist? He had committed suicide....just as they "won"?

It is sad that the generations following those in the sixties seem spineless and unable to muster the will to protest with the same spirit and furver as those had shown during Abby's time. The youth need to wake and realize, before they become the next generation kill.....

@DaNuWaGiLi the generation in the 60s didn't protest for anything good. they basically just used government to borrow money, gave it to themselves, left trillions in debt behind and said they did it for social justice, which is pc speak for "fu"
