  • Tom Vanden Brook-reporter for USA Today gained national notoriety when he inaccurately reported and was at fault for publishing USA Today's Headline story that The Sago Mine disaster victims were found alive, when in fact 12 miners weren't alive and only one miner survived-Vanden Brook's USA Today headline story read, “‘Alive!’ Miners Beat the Odds,” over photo of two smiling women w/ pictures of relatives of miners they believed had been found alive after reading Tom Vanden Brook's news story

  • 9 People think there are palm trees in Wisconsin...

  • liberals, conservatives, you're all morons. politics is an impediment to progress

  • Comment removed

  • The guy said from all over the country. dumb ass

  • they must of bused in those palm trees with the union !!! LMAO

  • I'm honestly surprised O'Reilly didn't just show footage from the Egyptian protests.

  • The film in the background with the palm trees is of Sacramento California and yes they were protesting there. I dont think that anyone in Wisc. was wearing sleeveless t-shirts. I live in California and I saw this footage on the general news and heard about the Ca. protests.

  • News For Dumb Fux

  • Gee maybe if the op showed it from the beginning you would see that bill said that his was footage from around the country. But this is what the left wing kooks do. Take things out of context, or they only show you or tell you half the story. And all the drones just eat it up and throw it back up on sites like these.

  • @cathrasher1974 What an idiot. Go ahead and watch the entire interview (it goes for 3+ minutes) You wana know what they are talking about the entire time? MADISON You know where the reporter is stationed? MADISON. How about you show footage from MADISON. Huh? Hows that sounds to ya? Or is that uncomfortably close to admitting that you cant slander these protesters?

  • @syon16734 yeah, and during the clips they were talking about people from out of state, duh? you getting it yet?

  • @syon16734 and while the clips are showing, they are talking about people from out of state, DUH

  • @syon16734 Not quite, at the exact time the palm trees are being shown Tobin is talking about people being bussed in from Cali, the graphic says Union Violence, not Madison like the clips from Madison... There is footage from Madison, saying that some of them are out of hand isn't slander, it's true. Then you have Rogers in Massachusetts talking about thousands of dead bodies... Earlier in the segment Violence around hte country is mentioned as well.

  • @syon16734 I love how cathrasher1974 is actually defending O'Reilly.

  • @cathrasher1974

So, it's okay for O Reilly to show different protests???? (OUT OF CONTEXT)??? Why not show the Madison protests, if that's the story you are covering?

  • @TheSunshineNetwork "so they're not violent eh? So marching with the socialist equality party is nice and dandy? Even when they're positions coincide, would YOU want to be seen marching with a bunch of socialists?

And also, that doesnt count the breaking into the capitol via BROKEN WINDOWS.

Non-Violent my foot. When the groups organizing these events don't shoot down protesters who are calling Scott walker the next hitler, it concerns me deeply about the virtues of these protestors.

  • @Azuremaidens It's a rally from Sacramento, CA that took place a few days before this airing. Google these two statements:

''Demonstration turns into shoving match at state Capitol''

''Hundreds gather at state Capitol for two opposing rallies''

  • Fox News is one of the biggest threats to USA.

    Palm trees in Winsconsin???

    They are sic.

  • ...Look, there's a diffrence between people who tell the truth and professional liars.

  • @wowpapa Wow, you honestly think that fox news is stupid enough that they would show palm trees in the backround of a video "if" they wanted to fudge this video?

You are severely underestimating and degrading the most watched cable news show in America.

If fox news is stupid, then so is most of America, since it is the most watched news program. So when you say that fox news is stupid, your also calling a good proportion of americans stupid.

"Intelligence is for everybody, not just one party".

  • @ninjafreak9500 "So when you say that fox news is stupid, your also calling a good proportion of americans stupid."

    ... yep, sounds about right.

they may have SAID (or even simply implied) at some point that it was an example, but if you watch the actual videos from madison, they arent nearly as violent. so, TECHNICALLY fox news isnt doing anything wrong here, all theyre doing is showing an example of protestors. albeit, completely irrelevant protestors, not that that matters -_-

  • @ninjafreak9500

Stupid people delight in stupid things - like watching Fox Cult.

  • OMG!!! How stupid is faux news lol.

  • You can see in the top left corner "Union Protests". It did not say Wisconsin. They were showing examples of "union protests" all over the nation, including wherever this was taken, like florida or Gorgia.

If you actually watch the video, and listen to them, it just gives an example of an "out-of-town" protest not in Wisconsin.

  • @ninjafreak9500 Wow, you honestly believe they were showing that as an example. They were trying to make the left and the people in the protests look violent and they lied by showing that picture. Silly republican, intelligence is for Democrats.

  • If you listened to the whole thing, you would know he had been talking about other violent protests. I guess what is logical to you liberals is a mystery to me. I love how clips are taken out of context, and aren't even a big deal, then you people run with it forever. What happened about the congressman who said "you're fucking dead" or shouting over all Fox broadcasts?

  • @capnadolny1 Well atleast fox was reporting the facts when discussing what Goron Hintz did. The guy is a nutcase. What about the $7.5 million estimated damages to the capital building that turned out to be $350,00? It's not like a thorough examination of the building was done beforehand, either, so who knows how much of that was actually the fault of the protestors. Oh well...

  • This is absolutely absurd, and at best, a decent laugh. I used to like Fox News -- uand then I turned 7 and realized how shady and corrupted they were. I live in Madison, too, and as everyone else has said, there are definitely no palm trees and in fact, it just snowed some more today. Bill O'Reilly and the Fox News gravy train is a stain on the shirt of journalism, and being a journalism major it really disgusts me to know people twist things so horrendously as this. Shame!

  • Dude since when did all the snow melt. Oh I remember the people being bussed in from out of town melted it with purely there tans they also brought huge super old palm trees.

  • Guess I was the only one who saw he was talking about protesters being bussed in from out of town. But you union douchebags can spin it however you want.

  • @capnadolny1 Yes, it's completely logical that the people being "bussed in" from out of state are rioting in the streets of California, Florida, etc. before jumping in the bus for the 20+ hour ride to Madison to join the peaceful protests...

  • Hey O'reilly.....If you can find out who bused in those palm trees I bet you'll know who bused in the protestors.I'd look for landscaping trucks with FOXNEWS written on the side.

  • O'Reilly is a disgusting pig.

  • Look at the second piece of footage, that's not Wisconsin either, the mural in the background is in Chicago.

  • Only FOX and Bill O'Really can PRODUCE a News story about Wisconsin and show footage of Union Protests from sunny palm tree locations totally irelavant to the peacefull demostrations that actually took place. Were is you footage of Wisconsin demonstrations FOX? Not news worthy for your inflamitory twisted view of what you were hoping would be going on??

  • @jfsfrnd: Well...technically, actually, yes, we do have palm trees...in a green house that's here in Madison! ;-) But outside? LOL, no! And yes, it was snowing a good deal of the time. I lived in the capitol for about two weeks, slept there, and everything...and for us to be painted as "professional far left-wingers" is hilarious! We were a bunch of folks who didn't even know each other, for the most part, until we entered the Capital and decided to stay. Nothing "organized" about us at all!

  • FOX is such a scumbag "news" outfit. They lie about unions in WI, yet the man hosting the show regularly sexually harasses women. Unreal.

  • You know that sometimes people make mistakes. It doesn't undermine their point if they run the wrong video.

You progressive fascists are just so happy that you have found a Fox "lie". That you will seize on any mistake no matter how minor to find a lie. You aren't interested in finding lies. You just want to discredit those who don't spread progressive propaganda like ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, CNBC, New York TImes, and all the other progressive fascist propaganda organizations.

  • @MrConradCA

It completely undermines their point if they're presenting themselves as a factual, unbiased, professional news source. They don't have to air it live; they have lots of editors and lots of money. It isn't a "minor mistake." If he's talking about union protests in Wisconsin, but showing OLD footage of violent protests in a completely different state, then that completely changes the whole implicit content and message of the broadcast.

  • @MrConradCA MrConrad, you are exactly the type of idiot who gets "informed" by FOX News, because you cannot see that virtually EVERYTHING they air is a "mistake". They are full of shit, and lie lie lie to their viewers, constantly. American Pravda, anyone?

  • Oh yeah...you got em LiBs! Fox Lies by running footage that CLEARLY shows palm trees.....omg, those evil liars at FOX

as if ANYONE watching could not have figured out that was NOT Wisconsin....even without FOX again, CLEARLY labeling this video as "union protests"!

Man....you really got em good libs.......

  • @gareyt17 Haha yeah right. Be honest with yourself. You know full well the kind of people who watch FOX would associate those images with Wisconsin. At best it was a mistake but given how FOX seems to reverse polls and show incorrect clips all the fucking time I wouldn't doubt it's intentional. FOX is full of shit. This is further proof.

  • @gatorhighlights4

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who owns and "directs" Faux News and is among the wealthiest few in the world, wants to rule the world. Until the idiot Americans wake up and investigate Murdoch on their own, they'll continue believing that his news is the only real news. I'm afraid some won't wake up until their bank accounts transfer to Murdoch's ...

  • This kinda undermines his claims about Global Warming.

  • Wow, now that Wisconsin is in the tropics (i.e., palm trees) maybe the teabaggers will start going skiing in Miami too LOL.

  • UHH! O'Lielly! Why do you think we have to be bused in. Most left wingers are middleclass. We do have jobs. We don't need big corporate money to bus us in. And we are mostly middleage and younger. We are not that old we cant drive like the grandmas and grandpas on the right.

  • This was a video of other union protests as Bill O Reilly says later in the video.

  • Holy shit, you people are fucking idiots......lol. The ONLY state named in this video was CALIFORNIA and last I checked, that state does in fact have palm trees and yes, those were union protesters in California.

Hate on Fox all you want, you're still leftist morons. Not ONCE did anyone claim the video was of Wisconsin. You leftists fail every time.

  • @LordWhorfinX2 - The only reason why they mentioned California is because they said that people from California were bussed into Wisconsin for these union protests. They never mentioned anything about union protests in California.

  • Comment removed

  • This looks a lot like a white supremacy riot that took place in LA last year... nice job Faux !

  • I live in Madison. There are no palm trees around the capitol. Also a lot of the so-called bussed-in protesters bussed in on the Madison Metro!

  • The "Crazy Dude", if you pause the video at just the right spot (about 54 seconds), right behind the graphic that says "Union Protests" the sign clearly says Indiana. Fox News not only airs misleading and I would dare to say untruthful "News stories", they're not very good at it.

  • Just curious. In the full clip, does O'reilly say this video is from Madison? As someone from that same city, I can vouch that we don't have palm trees.

O'reilly is notorious for setting video bits up with "look at this footage from the protests" He never says that. Is it misleading? Yes

But calling O'reilly out on this is fruitless, is no worse then calling Olbermann out on what happens at the 1:25 mark: watch?v=k-hvNVRvUGQ&

Now read the scripture Ephesians 5:22-33.

  • Toward the end of the video, you can see the sculpture in front of the Thompson Center - in Chicago.

  • Of course there are green palm trees on State Street in Madison you damn left wingers! Whoever says different is a communist, atheist and a terrorist! I saw these protesters killing unborn babies on the streets! And there was a sodomy on every street corner!

  • @wojciechmro That is the best comment I have seen ever! You sir, are a winner!

  • @wojciechmro You left out the ritual blood sacrifice of a live goat to Beelzebub. That's the most important part of collective bargaining. :-)

  • @wojciechmro Wait Sodomy in Madison?

    Damnnit, I should have gone.

  • it didn't look like a riot to me and it is definitely not madison probably florida or cali.

  • The only thing that is surprising about this is that anyone is surprised that Fox 'News' is engaged in blatant propaganda.

  • WTH - where have I been. Lived in Madison since I was 3 and and still a resident but I've never seen palm trees. man my eyes sure is deceiving me lmao Must have been the "right side" of town to have palm trees

  • Can anybody read any of the signs or even what's on the guy's jacket that shoved the other guy?

  • Folks, little journalism 101 here: You don't reference a Madison protest and then show video from another state without identifying the video. If an editor or producer did that at a normal TV station, they would be in a lot of trouble. This is inexcusable. I'm not saying it's intentional. It probably wasn't. It's just sloppy. But it's not defendable. So I would advise not defending it. It isn't a convincing position.

  • there are union protests going on around the country, not just in madison. they are clips from the other protests; it's quite simple.

i guess it is true what they say about liberals; they're so open-minded that their brains have fallen out!

  • @chmillr Yes, they are obviously clips from other protests. The point is, though, that Fox is deliberately misleading their audience into thinking the protests in Madison are violent. It wouldn't exactly help their agenda to show an organized, respectful protest, so they instead try to convince people that instead it's a violent mess. That's harder for the public to support .

  • @chmillr That's a very open-minded justification for such a close-minded conservative! Maybe it's a culture difference, but in the Midwest, we would consider this unethical. While showing this entire 20 second clip, the reporters spoke about how people were being "bussed in" to MADISON and sleeping in the capital building, etc. My theory? Teachers and other union supporters are too respectful and intelligent to show on Fox News. It's to trick you dimwits into thinking WE are the crazy ones.

  • @skittlepunk The Midwest doesn't need you for a spokesperson. I live there and I never voted you to speak for us.

  • @LordWhorfinX2 And I live in WI, but never voted for Walker to screw over teachers or Fox News to show such deceitful news clips... Sorry if my comment offended you.

  • @skittlepunk respectful enough to disgrace war memorials, break in through windows, and cause millions of dollars (oh yeah, we the tax payers of wi get to pay this) in damage, way to be respectful and not violent

  • @fearmenot22890 "millions of dollars" eh?? - wow did you get that peace of crisp information from.....uhh, let me guess...FOX NEWS??? See through the lies please! Just like they lied about the 200 million dollars a day, the trip to India cost YOU THE TAXPAYERS..............oh right, that was a lie TO! TRY TI THINK FOR YOURSELVES! PLEEEEEASEE!

  • @jesmarina ah, no, actually i get my info from anywhere i can, and millions of dollars is a vague estimate, if you look at the time needed to clean the area, the time and materials to replace the broken windows, and then the time and effort needed to clean and take care of the marble that needs to be maintained from the tape and markers that the protestors used, yeah, your looking at a few million dollars, and you wanna know why so much? they have to use union workers, yeha unions

  • @fearmenot22890 I still haven't seen any valid estimates of the damages... Please post anything you have, I would love to see it. If it will be costing millions to repair, I would love to help out. I could probably make $100,000 after a few days work...

  • @jesmarina yeah, and the $200 million a day? really, who would believe that, that was one of those things like when Bush Jr. ran for president, Sam Donaldson said he was kicked out of the military, he wasn't, and people said it like it was fact, stuff like this happens, thats why you hear something, and check the facts yourself, or atleast, i do when i have the time, like the trip, probably didn't cost near that much a day, but it surely cost enough that it was ridiculous

  • @chmillr Face it. Fox lies. It's been proven a NUMBER of times. Employees quit because they were told to intentionally mislead their audience to serve the benefit of the conservatives (That's you! :D). In the sixties, liberals fought for civil rights while the conservatives sat on their fat asses drinking beer saying "all them hippies should stop fightin' for Reggie." I guess it's true what they say about conservatives, they're so narrow minded they can look through a key hole with both eyes!

  • @fucktheempire This is what the media as a whole does. Not just Fox, it's all across the board.

  • @DarakuTenshi In some cases this is true, but some of the other political talk stations don't try to pass it off as NEWS. Fox NEWS does.

  • I have been in Madison, lived in Wisconsin my whole life, and there are no palm trees here, all out deciduous trees have lost their leaves, and there is snow everywhere. The protest in Madison is peaceful--we march alongside the cops. AND most of the people there are from Wisconsin, too. Check out footage uploaded by average Joes on YouTube and you will see.

  • O'Reilly is a joke, but the biggest joke is that he is more reasonable than most of the fakes they have at FOX

  • I like the palm trees

  • I've been to Madison, WI many times and never noticed any palm trees.

  • Looks like O'Reilly ''bussed in'' some video from CA. LOL

  • Can someone tell us what city the riot is from? There are buildings in the background. Does anyone recognize them? Are there palm trees in madison? Wasn't it snowing there?

  • @jfsfrnd I'm guessing the footage is from Florida (not recent though) And yes, I live in Madison and we have snow, lots and lots of snow.

  • @syon16734 I looked it up on weather (dot) com. I this footage was (allegedly) from Madison, Wisconsin, the high was 27 degrees on Monday, February 28! Those protestors are definitely not dressed for the weather. LOL

  • @syon16734 Google these two statements:

''Demonstration turns into shoving match at state Capitol''

''Hundreds gather at state Capitol for two opposing rallies''

It's a rally in Sacramento, California last week, not Madison, Wisconsin and the exact same footage. We need to pass laws about reporting fake news.

  • @syon16734 I heard they bused in the palm trees too. That will be their next lie to cover this lie.

  • @syon16734 Right. Its actually from Cali. Point still remains... You talk about Madison and people being bussed in and then you see footage of people fighting. Unless you know to the contrary you are going to assume that the footage they are showing is from Madison. At best its misleading and bad journalism.

  • @syon16734 You can't use journalism and Fox in the same sentence unless you add yellow or just replace the word journalism with propaganda. But since Faux News replaces the truth with false images like this, in the end, propaganda is what you have to call it.

  • @jfsfrnd It's California. I can't remember exactly which city though.

  • @jfsfrnd It's LA and I think it's a Teacher's Union rally.

  • @jfsfrnd

The real footage was from Sacramento, California.

  • @jfsfrnd The real footage was from Sacramento, California.

  • @syon16734: Well...technically, actually, yes, we do have palm trees...in a green house that's here in Madison! ;-) But outside?

  • @LunaLucifera333 Heeyy! No way! I spent a night in the capital too!

  • @jfsfrnd There's been snow here. We've been to Madison for a day of protesting. My thirteen year old just watched this clip with me and laughed at the palm trees. Then she got indignant and said, "THAT'S not how we act here." Even a child knows better. Sigh.

  • Producer: "yeah, Frankie, come 'ere!

    Frank: "daah- yeah boss?"

P: "get me some ah- stock footage, stat. Yeah, like some violent protesters, that's the ticket..."

    F: "Dah- ok boss"

    FOX SUX

  • stay classy, fox

  • Stupid liberals. Obviously, the communist unions bused in both, the union thugs and the palm trees. Stupid unions, don't they know that palm trees aren't native to Wisconsin? Thank you fox new for keeping us infromed.

  • Shut up you liberals. Obviously the unions bussed in both, the union thugs and the palm trees. Stupid unions...don't they know that palm trees won't survive in Wisconsin's cold climate?

  • How do they get away with spewing just straight up bullshit 24/7? Honestly I don't think the first amendment was set up so a bunch of ultra wealthy sleazy crooks could slap together a bunch of lies and pawn it off as news.

The saddest part of this whole thing is that O'reillys viewers are all going to be too stupid to realize that Wisconsin has snow and does not have palm trees.

Thanks for putting this on here.
