1) i've eaten this and it actually tastes really good. even if it looks kind of odd.

2) what were the makers of this show thinking for God's sake? they could have chosen different foods. something Colin could actually eat.

3) i also think that choosing foods like this they made Colin and Bradley feel uncomfortable. Colin couldn't participate and he had to spend time alone somewhere off screen. and Bradley looked quite annoyed and uncomfortable all the time he spent there alone making the food

@DannyNQH no that's not true. the ice-cream ball kind of rolls over when the lower side is ready. and if it doesn't then you just need to slightly touch it and it rolls over. i've fried different kinds of ball-shaped foods including ice-cream balls and it always works.

Well, I'm not sure I've had fried ice cream, but...I rather imagine one would eat it with a spoon, or, at most, a fork. Oh, well, not a big deal. =D

And, yes, I am American--from Alaska to be precise. I suppose we do eat more fried foods, although the only thing I can think of that my mom ever uses our deep fat fryer for is french fries. And maybe less people have them than I would imagine, I know there are lots of (strange) people who buy frozen fries and bake them in the oven. *shudder*

There are times when I'd like nothing more than freshly made homecooked fries--especially when I'm eating something like homecooked burgers, BBQ ribs/chicken, fish, or steak.

And there's nothing WRONG w/ oven chips, I've just been spoiled by my mom and was at least 12 before I ever had 'em, so I don't like 'em near as much
