No one can put Mariah to shame. Mariah Carey is a musical genious. She sings and she writes her own songs which always become world hits. Mariah Carey is a creator. And yes, I know that there are better voices than Mariah's, however they lack her charm and personality. They are dull and boring and can only be a "good" copy of the original. Some people were born to shine and be unique. Mariah in a league of her own. I doubt this girl -no matter how beautiful her voice is- will ever outdo MC.

@mimimariajudith and @ojoscafesmxa: Hitting notes is the only way we CAN compare performances, and Leona nails it live, on a signing contest without a choir to back her up. ANd we're not talking about career... (Besides, so we really want to go there? *cough* Glitter *cough* ) As for the sentiment, keep in mind this is a Harry Nilsson song. Mariah didn't write it, so you're saying that Mariah was better able to fake a connection?

@texasbrian1 Excuse me, but, ,Mariah has sung live with out the choir. With or whiteout choir what's your point?? it's doesn't degrade the singer. And about glitter. What you mean, the album or the movie?? The album sold 3million worldwide. and has amazing songs (that mariah wrote and produced) called, Lead The Way , Never Too Far. Etc. But byways. where are you getting at with this whole glitter? Haven't you seen PRECIOUS? TENNESSEE? Or WISE GIRLS?? She got awards for precious. So don't talk.

@texasbrian1 I never insinuated that selling more record and that films don't make you a good singer. for Whitney, BODYGUARD. Helped her career a lot! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU?? And so many covers from the album. anyways. Getting back to my point. When LEONA can't hit the notes anymore like let's say in 15 years, are u going to look for another singer? go around and comment and say, "she cant hit the notes anymore" ??

@DanielAvilaAGT Actually, yes. In 2025, if someone puts up a Leona Lewis clip, and some new singer outsings her, then yeah.
Look, I love Mariah, and Whitney, and even Aretha... but they can't do what they used to. It's just a fact of life. (And in Whitney's case, a fact of crack.) There's a difference between CAN and COULD.

@texasbrian1 Whoa whoa.. Hold on. For the record, Leona didn't ousting Mariah in past or present. Mariah just simply doesn't. Use her vibrato in belt anymore.. Not in these times.. But she did in 100 percent song. Which came out late 2009. anyways, Mariah hit all the whistle register notes in EMOTIONS during her Angels Advocate tour. and she sung ann. Eb7 on the view and other shows.. So if that's not hitting notes, then i don't know what to tell you. But i do understand what your saying tho

@texasbrian1 Mariah would still outsing Leona after 20 Years singing hard songs like this, if she rests enough. Leona is low Notes terrible, you cant hear her and her belting is thin and not powerful like Mariah. If you listen Leona singing "Bleeding in Love 2010 Portugal" you can hear how she struggles singing her song after 2-3 Years... sorry, Mariah Vocally unbeatable.
