Stan Lee is a great comic book genius (however, he tends to take all the credit for the Marvel superheroes-sometimes forgetting Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko's contribution to the characters). Nevertheless he is the best!
i would like to thank fox and kevin smith for turning stan into the icon he really isnt. While a very good editor and brilliant promoter, stan put his name on many a character he had little or nothing to do with creating.
yes stan lee's "marvel method" may seem shady to some, but i still view him as an icon. he's accomplished so much, that's undeniable. most people don't even know who the hell stan lee is. most of the people at comic con had no idea "who that old guy" was walkin' through the halls pr probably even cared but i don't give a rat's ass about those ppl. i got to see stan lee man...maybe not meet him but i'm satisfied enough.
the reason most those at the con dont know who stan is, is cuz the con has very little to do with comics now....the con has turned into a promo tool for hollywood...so most are there to catch the stars...

no i'm 20 but my admiration for stan lee began when i was a wee lass. my dad told me about the marvel way. yea it's crazy how comic con has changed over the years. hollywood plays a big role in comic con but i'm not losing any sleep over how they;re trying to cash in on us. i think its cool that more and more ppl are getting exposed to this sorta thing. it's nice to see other people besides fellow fanboys/girls at these conventions lol.
i wish to apologize for my nasty remarks regarding stan...it seems he was signing autographs in support of actor, which benefits comic book creators. Way to make up for past sins stan lee.
lol yea there were moments when i was practically on his back till one of those guys in the red shirts stepped in. i was so stoked to even appear as part of his entourage lol.

Does what ever a writer can.
