God I loved when they "reunited" for TWO OF A KIND! Watch it back-to-back with the sequel to Saturday Night Fever, STAYING ALIVE! You'll gag on the 80s-tastic-ness of it. Those two films are almost as good as THE PIRATE MOVIE AND POPEYE! "You look great together you know that? Are you two an item?" John likes "blonde ladies", who knew? "YOU TWO ARE SO ATTRACTIVE! YOU TWO ARE SO GOODLOOKING! JOHN ~ DID YOU EVER HAVE ROMANTIC THOUGHTS ABOUT OLIVIA??? He says "sure", no straight man would say sure!

Yes, Joan Rivers was a frequent substitute host when Johnny had vacation etc. It looked like she'd get the full-time job when Carson retired but they gave it to Leno.

they gave it to Leno bc Joan went on to host her own late night talk show that actually launched the Fox Network in 1986. she was fired a year and a half later and was replaced with Arsenio Hall.
