My laser buttons were hard to push. I contacted S&W. They sent me new buttons. This must have been an issue (as you mentioned). Made ALL the difference in the world and now very easy to actuate.
I really don't understand some folks problem with manual safety. I wouldn't purchase an everyday carry without one. I always have one in the chamber, and although it may be very unlikely that DOA trigger would get pulled by accident, I feel more secure with the safety on around my family and coworkers. The gun is on my hip all day until bed time and i have kids that like to jump around and play on me when I get home so the safety is a must for me.
@timlot In my opinion, the nearly 10lb trigger pull is plenty hard enough and long enough that a thumb safety is completely unnecessary. It would make the gun way to hard to fire quickly when my life depends on getting a shot off NOW! I just carry it without the safety engaged in a good holster. Works fine and it's safe.
I love my BG380 (EAVxxxx serial). My opinion is that I would keep the manual thumb safety and in turn, reduce the heavy and long excruciating trigger pull. I prefer to carry with one in the chamber. The laser button and the thumb safety are both easy to actuate IME while the pistol is still holstered in my pocket. With practice, I'm able to draw and present my pistol with laser actuated and safety disengaged in a fluid motion. Practice, practice, and practice is key! Be safe and happy shooting!
I bought this gun 1 day before your podcast review came out. I have fired about 200 rounds through mine so far, with 0 malfunctions. I agree that the laser switch is a bit difficult to manipulate, but it definitely get easier with practice. Great review, great gun.
DeSantis makes superfly for this gun. Works perfectly. Purchased from MidwayUSA.

They are good, true sights, but I wish they were 3-dot and not black (especially for the price).

I love pocket guns also. I carry a ruger LCR with crimson trace laser loaded with hornady critical defense ammo. Thanks for sharing.
