This pick could turn the ignition but without the key on a newer ford 1998 onward the car wont start as there is a chip inside the key if you have a ford key you may have noticed a colored are on the top of the key commonly used on transit vans either blue or red if you remove the colored tab underneath will be your vehicles chip. And to start any fords without the chip you would have to remove the whole pats and that's not a roadside job
