    ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮.

  • "true thugs, rugged unshaven messy scrubs,

rippin 40 bottles like the fucking pepsi clubs"

  • i love hearing this. it shows eminem coming into himself.... unlike infinite

  • @DiagramOfTruth infinite was eminem displaying his true rhyming ability.

  • @InfernalSavior "Obviously, I was young and influenced by other artists, and I got a lot of feedback saying that I sounded like Nas and AZ. 'Infinite' was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself. It was a growing stage. I felt like 'Infinite' was like a demo that just got pressed up."

    -Eminem

Again, 'Slim Shady EP' was Eminem coming into himself. done.

  • @DiagramOfTruth cool, you can quote information from the web. thanks for proving you have no life.

eminem never released an album after infinite that was on the same level lyrically<- fact.

    done.

  • @InfernalSavior Aw, now we have to get all personal and butthurt over the matter. 'Infinite' was him trying to get on the local radio station by being tame and limiting himself. How can you not tell that with 'Infinite?' It just isn't him. It's contrived, the beats are AWFUL, the 'personal' songs want to make me laugh because once again it's forced.

Just because an artist is successful and is mainstream does NOT mean he can't flow.

  • @DiagramOfTruth infinite was him limiting himself? LOL.

infinite was a display of unparallelled lyrical ability.

not a single album released after infinite was on the same level lyrically. sure, the beats weren't great. but the lyrics, wordplay, rhyme schemes, etc. were all on a different level than anything else he's ever released.

his flow is still great, and still one of the best, but to say he ever released something more lyrical than infinite is ignorant. plain and simple.

  • @InfernalSavior Listen to this guy. ^

He speaks nothing but the truth.

  • @InfernalSavior

...........have you heard his verses on "Hellbound," "Scary Movie," "Watch Deez," "The Anthem," "Stir Crazy," "Three Six Five," "Green & Gold," "5 Star General," "Dead Wrong," "The Last Hit," "Bad Influence," "Renegade," or "Don't Approach Me?"

Then all the ridiculous tracks on his albums:

"The Way I Am," "I Just Don't Give a Fuck," "Still Don't Give a Fuck," "Stan," "Guilty Conscience," or "Cleanin out my closet"

  • @InfernalSavior 'Infinite' on another level? Um, no. He went into this album trying to be like everyone else rather than himself. There are faaaaaar better verses out there by Eminem. I seriously hear nothing special in Eminem's verses on 'Infinite' nor did anyone else when it was released nor should anyone find anything special on it now. It's average, forced and hugely overrated by Eminem purists.

Oh, and Eminem's verse on "Fight Music" is ridic too.

  • @DiagramOfTruth yeah, he became a lot faker after he got with dre.

sorry, but the metaphors that he used in infinite seemed to disappear after he started releasing more mainstream albums.

the reason infinite is better than the rest of his other albums is because it's like a raw, unsigned emcee trying his hardest(you're right, he tried hard) to become noticed.

the rest of his stuff became commercialized after he signed with dre.

    so, you're wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @DiagramOfTruth

it seems you have it backwards. the fake bull came after he got with dre. it was still great, but he crafted it to be more commercial and poppy

  • @BloodyHarry456 No. YOU have it backwards. Eminem has admitted many times that 'Infinite' was him trying to sound like others. Why would he denounce that album? Maybe because he's not proud of that album, maybe because he cringes when he hears himself trying way too hard. An artist is supposed to craft his art naturally. If the art does not come naturally, he should work on his craft to find his voice/style, or stop altogether.

  • @BloodyHarry456 Underground can be fake as well, bro. Just because an artist is successful does not mean the music he makes is fake. It means he has done it right. He has people that love his music, and he loves making the music. If you like Eminem trying to sound like rappers from the 90's, that's cool. But I'll stick with my original sentiment; 'Infinite' is forced, and Eminem limited himself on this album. There are far better verses by Eminem out there than what's on that LP.

  • @DiagramOfTruth actually, he has more consistent lyricism in this album than he does in all of his following albums.

to disagree with that statement is ignorant.

  • @InfernalSavior quick question.

how many mc's were already sounding like eminem in 96, and how many mc's were already sounding like eminem in 99?

  • @DiagramOfTruth i obviously like infinite more than any other album he's produced.

why? because i find it to be more lyrical, more expressive, and much more artistic.

where do these generalizations come from? the fact that he wasn't /commercialized./

    now, to answer your question.

who knows how many mc's were already sounding like em in 96. yeah, in 99 he became so diverse because he made songs about killing people. lots of underground artists had that same stigma. em was just

  • @InfernalSavior no. Eminem was unique when he came out in '99. you're going to take one aspect of his style of his career after 'infinite,' and say that's all he's about now? flow, story, insane battle rhymes is what comes to my mind. are you seriously saying there were rappers out there that sounded like Eminem before '99? in '96, he just sounded like the old days of hip hop which had obviously past. so i stand by my statement. 'infinite' = contrived. after 'infinite' = original

  • @DiagramOfTruth lucky enough to get signed.

eminem's songs were still lyrical after this album. were any of them on par with the display of lyricism on infinite? no.

none of them had as complex rhyme schemes, consistent rhyming, multi-syllabic rhyming, and the content itself changed.

compare "searchin'" to "love the way you lie." both love songs. one is commercialized. one is raw. can you guess which is which, or is that asking too much?

  • @InfernalSavior most of his albums have been very lyrical after infinite (besides encore). creative stories, definitely more advanced and unique flow, more personal, funnier.

Ya, i can tell the difference. one is corny, and is horribly produced. and one is corny, and is well produced. sorry, i'm not gonna like something because it's 'raw.' i can respect it, but i certainly won't listen to it based solely on that. and honestly i don't like his newest album. i can respect it tho.

  • @InfernalSavior i think it's time to agree to disagree. i think we've flooding this comment section for too long...

  • god, bizarre. do u understand rhythm?

  • top 5 eminem verses

  • Whos the first guy rapping?

  • Yelawolf definitely based his entire persona off of eminem... It's undeniable if you compare 2:20 - 2:30 to anything yelawolf has ever recorded

  • @xReallygoodmusiCx Dude he didnt even listen to eminem his main influances were the b-boys and wu tang

  • @TheRapMagician the similarities are undeniable though

  • @xReallygoodmusiCx What simularaties are these you speak off cos i dont see any apart from the colour of there skin

  • @TheRapMagician you can't 'see' the similarities in a flow.. you can hear them. don't take this somewhere it wasn't going.... and i can hear it in his pronunciation and the way he elongates the words. its similar to yelawolf's flow

  • 2pac- shorty wanna be a thug.

    check it out!

  • i know eminem always kills it... but this verse was just NASTY.

  • Is this d12? if it's them they sounded way different back then
