  • This thing is total JUNK! We received 2 as gifts, boy am I glad we didn't pay for them. Worked OK past the warranty then one started blowing the circuit breaker every time it was turned on, the other one started blowing cold air. Took it apart, took forever, PIECE OF JUNK!!!! Long story short, could repair, but 4 screws that hold the heater elements are so tight, they are not going to come off. Sounds crazy but true. Buy a $20 heater at Lowes, will work and last longer.

  • They say its save money on your heating bill. Bull Shit my Ele Bill WAS up from 238.00 To 567.00 A Mouth NOT Down But Up. Not Buy one of these From Them.

  • My EdenPure feels more like a damn AC unit. It stopped blowing heat after 4 days. I'm sending this shit back!

  • Edenpurecrap. 200hrs of use and in the trash they are. waisted 600+$ pleas dont waist your mony like we did.

  • @238raymo That is so true. We just got ours on the Dec 8th and it went out on Dec 12th just 4 days after getting it. The customer service makes you wish you could reach through the phone and choke the sh!+ out of em. DON'T BUY THIS BULL SH!+ IT'S A WAST OF MONEY!!!!

  • Worthless, worthless, worthless.

  • Do you know that in the animation of the heat arrows going down is complete bullshit? Burn the air? What is wrong with you? ...snake oil peddlers

  • Consumer Reports: "second worst performing of 20 space heaters tested in a scientific review"

  • @maynardr6 "Consumer reports" on "performance" of space heaters?

By definition, all space heaters are exactly 100% efficient.

So, I'd like to know where I could find this "report"...

  • @a1mint Way to respond to a year old comment. Efficiency and performance are not the same thing. Consumer reports said it sucked, and I was just relaying the message. If you wanna find it, take 5 seconds to google "edenpure consumer reports", you'll find it.

  • @maynardr6 It doesn't matter. So long as we both agree that by definition each and every electric space heater is exactly 100% accurate, then I'm happy and life goes on.

  • @a1mint I think I see what you think I was saying. I had never really thought of it in terms of energy efficiency, but I have seen fan forced heaters degrade in performance over time as the fan wears out and gets slower and the heater would use less power efficiency be damned. Consumer Reports explains performance in several ways, and they say the low score was for usability and its huge variability in temperature control. You gotta admit this product is a scam though.

  • @maynardr6 When heaters developed problems and became "less efficient" as you say, then they also started to use less power. The reason why I'm kind of repeating the same point as that I want people to understand that 100% of the electricity that a heater uses is converted to heat. I just don't want any confusion or fuzziness over that. That is because scammers like to leave people thinking that generating heat can be complicated so that they can sell something special.

  • @a1mint Where am I losing you? I never said they became less efficient. You're even putting quotes around it like you're quoting me. I mean, I'm pretty sure we're in agreement, but then you imply that I'm saying something incorrect.

  • @maynardr6 Ok then. The reason I'm edgy is because we're in a "Eden Pure" forum and we're bound to run into scam and con artists around here. I've fought and argued with these types of crooks for eons, like HHO, homeopatards, magnet motor-ists, the list goes on and on (my profile has a list of stuff).

  • @maynardr6 As for Consumer Reports, I did briefly look and I see what you mean with those other factors. For instance, it rated a really expensive heater very low and a much cheaper one as #1 because it has a thermostat built in. That means the heater turns itself off once the desired temperature has been reached. Some of them have a timer too, so if you heat the bedroom with it, you can have it not heat until 6AM for instance.

Most are simple and don't have any of these features.

  • @maynardr6 But what Eden does *IS* a scam. They sell stories to people about how normal heaters "burn the air". What a crock. And they claim that it is "more efficient".

    Lies lies lies.

They ought to be sued and forced to remove their claims.

  • yeah, i don't believe in that edepure thing either. i don't really believe it works. I like my portable water radiator, i can't see enenpure working any better than that. Sorry, I'm not convinced on that thing.

  • JUNK!!

If it works for more than 45 days you'll be lucky. There is countless testimonies about how much of a piece of junk this thing is, Don't waste your money do some research on the product and their customer support.

  • What is your response to the videos on youtube that show a 20 dollar space heater is just as efficient as your 400.00 unit?
