I listened to both, and their version outshines both the original and this one. Only because, in my opinion, the acoustic provides more of a feeling of the lyrics meaning, and I enjoy that. Not that this isn't good, I just enjoy acoustic more, regardless if it's Bayside or not.

I love all the banter between people about what version of this is better......Can't people understand they are different and there doesn't need to be a ranking system. Different people have different tastes and will like different sounds better.......I think they are both rad by the way. Depends what mood I'm in for which one I listen too :)

Originals are better 90% of the time - not to say I don't like BA's or Bayside's covers or that they are bad, 'cos they are in fact really good.

Plus the Popes are simply the best band of the three, imo.

In all honesty, I feel that this version of the song does overdue it. I think it really takes away from the lyrics and the message the song is trying to convey. The instrumentals are "enhanced" to say the least. In my opinion, I prefer the version with Smoking Popes and Bayside. Good cover non-the less.
