  • stop saying soccer, it's annoying. football is a better word.

  • I hope to watch the USA Team in Word Cup here in Brazil! Bob Bradley is a great couch and USA have a great team.

  • Bradley is good but imo, however changing coaches would be beneficial to the team. Its important to bring fresh ideas and new ways of thinking because it allows the team to grow.

  • I like him as a person, but not sure if he's the right manager. I think his contract should've just been through 2012, or through the Gold Cup next year and see how things go. Players to cap/bring in: Ike Opara Brek Shea Edgar Castillo Eric Lichaj Zarek Valentin Gale Agbossoumonde Andy Najar (hopefully before Honduras gets him) Danny Mwanga (hopefully before Congo gets him) Juan Agudelo Omar Salgado
  • 2014..........LETS GO USA!!!!!!

  • terrible terrible, how hard is it to get someone to change this "pay to play" soccer environment in the states, i see these african players and latino players in this country that play with more sense then those bums on the us national team squad, its a shame that us soccer is reserved for rich ppl

  • 4 more years

    4 more years

    4 more years

  • i think he should have left. i don't think he's going to disappoint me. because we probably always gonna lose against the BIG TEAMS.

personal choice he should have left and give some body else a shot.he had he's chance ITS SHOULD BE OVER

  • terrible mistake to bring him back

  • kleismann or whatever

  • @josh108

They should have gone with Klesnman or Sounders coach Sigi Schmid.

  • I like Bob Bradley, and even though sometimes I don't agree with his decisions, he knows soccer and his team really well, and I think the US will do fine.

  • This is such a disappointment. I feel like we're taking 2 steps back. We have a coach who's not even wanted by a European club, much less their fans. If felt like the 2002 World Cup is the last time we've made progress. I've been to the last 2 World Cups and can't see myself wasting my money to see another talented group of players be out coached at the biggest stage.

I hate to say this, but I'm not sure we'll be able to qualify with his coaching mentality.

  • @buzzardroostus yeah I like your point of view dude, and the irony I was thinking of the 2002 WC a few minutes ago and I was thinking how the USA was playing and it looked wonderful seeing them play like that. This WC it seems that the coaching staff put a lot of focus on strenght/stamina of the team. Remember they had a mixture of young talent and veterans(but not too veterans) that was the best squad the USA had don't you agree?

  • redduey-- the US Women's National Team position is probably the most high-profile and desirable coaching gig for women's soccer in the whole world. Compared to what other nations spend on women's soccer, the US federation is probably one of the big dogs. For the men's game, however, the US federation is much less wealthy and prestigious. The US coaching position for the men's team is probably not that desirable in the eyes of foreign coaches. Bob's hiring is not too exciting but it's solid.

  • bob is awesome. go bob.

  • He's not wearing sweatpants?!?!?!

  • what are the chances that this man survives through four more years as national team manager? i think he's done after we lose to mexico in the gold cup next year.

  • I disagree with this move completely. Bob has taken this team as far as he can. Giving him another 4 years to disenfranchise players is not a good idea. It happened to Areana after arguably the best run the US had in a world cup and I predict its going to happen again.

I don't understand how the US women, who have a WC title, can hire a foreign coach and try a different approach but the men can't. And I don't buy into the, "he was the best available" argument.

  • @redduey If you don't buy the argument, than who is out there that is better? I'm not drinking the Jurgen kool-aid.

Also -- its easier for the USWNT, they are the #1 team in the world. The suitors come to them.

Not trying to argue w/ you. Just sayin'. =]

  • @redduey He should at least have Jurgen Klinsmann and Jose Antonio Camacho as assistants.

  • @MrUsasoccerrules Didn't Jurgen Klinsmann denied to coach the USA team after the 2002 WC. You think he would of taken it this time?

  • @redduey There just isn't a better option. Klinsmann is tactically weak and none of the MLS coaches are good enough.
