Trillions upon trillions of specified functionally complex cells that work together and exist, not by my will, but are given to me as a gift. What a marvel the bodily systems are--and they must work from the beginning and be able to reproduce. Amazing video.
How fantastically my hand must have been designed, it fits perfectly in this glove! And my navel seems far too ideally made for gazing at to have evolved 'by chance'
Miracle is not the right word to use to describe the human or animal body or viral or bacterial structures or any kind of organism because it carries a lot of theological baggage - wonderful yes, amazing yes, BUT CAUSED BY NATURAL LAW(specifically natural selection) - NOT DESIGNED. Darwinist is a flawed phrase as it implies a rigid 'belief' in Darwin's theory as he presented it and not an expanding acceptance of the substantial developments that have occurred over the last 150 years. Cheers.
that i don't disagree im an atheist and i still have an Eisensteinian view of the world ..im just saying the actual part about believing in everything the bible quran or whatever says is crap ...not that u cant attribute the unknown of general complexities to the Eisensteinian view just not the religious view of constantly having to please the god by following his rules which sort of disagree with the "conscious" part
Ok I am sorry I called Buraq a "flying horse". But it is horselike with hoofs. And after Jibril takes the heart out of Muhammads chest and cleans it with ZamZam water they seem to take off to the farthest mosque.
Maybe I am not logical and objective like you who actually believe that fairy tale.
And don't get me wrong. I have friends who believe in angels manipulating aspects of their life. One example: their bank-account.
But how come when you question them they are always wrong.
"I was brought by the Buraq, which is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place its hoof at a distance equal to the range of vision."
Im sorry but it is totally ridiculous. A fairytale invented and written by humans.
It is exactly what you would expect to find in a human-invented religious text.
There are countless other religious texts that have similar fairytales. Some more fantastic, some less fantastic. But they all share a disconnect from something called reality.
there cant be any more clear evidence how someone can be subjective
the fact is,Quran already says the message the Prophets brought have always been same and the books were a little bit different
since the first man Adam (as)
so someone else can use the fact that Quran includes similar things that older scriptures, especially Torah includes,as an evidence of the claim of Quran
Or the quran and the torah have come to existence in the same human desert cultures: they tap into the same strories of those cultures: I guess that is more likely.
In the torah, evidently the Jews are the chosen people: in the quran, they need to be put to death.
If Allah is so all-powerfull: why does he need some human worms to do his dirty jobs? Why can't he not do it himself?
About the quran, but I don't think I need to do so.
It is full of contradictions, and there is even a technique of how to deal with this contradictions: the fact that this techniqie exist proofs I am right about that.
There is absolutely no reason for me to believe that the quran is what it claimes to be, so I do not have to read it.
And I follow evidence, not conjecture. In a reality with evolution, such as ours, there can be a sadist god, there can be a deist god, but not a loving god.
OK, well: it is easy: Biology is evolution. Nothing in biology makes sense, if there wasn't evolution: evidence for evolution is overwhelming.
Evolution is even true for everyday aspects as: flu viruses (H5N1), SARS virus, HI- virus, and multiresistent hospital bacteria. If you deny these, you are an idiot.
Evolution has even been proved in a laboratory for one kind of bacterium. Claiming it is untrue just makes you very uninformed, or very stupid. You can choose.

its ridiculous to attribute everything complex and hard to imagine to god...its simply ridiculous

not to God maybe, but to a conscious Power behind the veil
it is a fact that most people call, "God"

so u are not denying the possible existence of such power ?
and also you would accept a scripture as truth if it had enough signs that it can not have been written by humans ?

The koran looks exactly as was written by humans. It describes a world with imaginary things like flying horses, jinns and demons.
I know people like Zakir Naik has made several claims that the koran contains knowledge that was impossible for humans to know.
But when the videos are posted all his claims have been picked apart very easily and rationally by people using just an encyclopedia.
The koran did not spur any scientific explosion of any kind.
Now THAT would have been a sign.

so please show me the "flying horse" in Quran?

I found this surely "hasan" hadith:
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 227
"I was brought by the Buraq, which is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place its hoof at a distance equal to the range of vision."
CognosSquare 3 years ago
ok
I knew that :D
but it isn't in Quran
and what's wrong with the idea that God creates such special animal for such special event?

One idiot once asked me: So if angel comes from the sky and tells you: I am messenger from god, then you believe, then you believe:
I said: if it is a real angel, then off course.
Your scripture has borrowed so much from other older scriptures, that it is sure to be written by fallible humans.

Quran 2:47
"O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I bestowed upon you, and that I blessed you more than any other people."
why dont you learn before you teach?
6:116
"If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of GOD. They follow only conjecture; they only guess."
how well it describes you
look at what you follow
have you ever read Quran?
