  • Have you used silicone baking mats? They're great! Nothing sticks and you just wash and re-use them :)

  • @byhn2 The brown sugar helps to give it a richer flavor than just plain white sugar

  • you can oil youre bakingtray and than put youre bakingpaper on top then it sticks to the tray xx

  • @putrahafizizzulislam You can use special measurement cups that are sold in stores. Or you can use one of those big cups that have measuring marks on the side and use the 240ml mark for a cup.

  • @pixadi They have to be the special baking kind, if you use the normal kind it melts unfortunately, :/ hope this helped.

  • actually, does pre-heating the oven to a certain temperature is important? how does a lower temperature affects the cookies?

  • @theducthladygirl If you don't preheat the oven before hand and pop the cookies in while its trying to heat up to the right temperature, the cookies will be undercooked and cooked unevenly because of how the temperature isn't constant.

  • Made these this afternoon, but I added too much butter...For anybody who makes this mistake, pour all the melted butter swilling around on the baking tray into a bowl, and then bake the cookies for a further 5mins. Then they turn out ok.

    P,S. Could you put the amounts in grams or ounces, because it is quite hard to get a cup of butter :)

  • Um, I just made these and again... you AMAZE me... even with a simple cookie recipe. I upped the vanilla to a tablespoon and added some crushed pretzels and a little extra salt to the batter which made them over the top delicious. The saltiness complimented the sweetness perfectly, and they baked beautifully, with crispy edges and a soft middle. Mmm buttery, sweet n salty heaven.

  • @sydney42511 Yeah, I used salted butter. I didn't add the salt that was called for the recipe, incase it was" too salty". It came out fine, I didn't really notice the salt taste. Just make sure the butter is at room temperature to be able to cream with the sugar. I dont have one of those fancy 200$ mixer as shown in the video.. If ur like me 7$ walmart hand mixer is fine lol.

  • @SuperBabyant1 vanilla extract isn't necessary it just adds a little extra flavor so don't worry if you don't have it ....I guess you could always buy vanilla beans??

  • i made these earlier and followed the directions to the T and they came out very cakey like and very spongey like, they were crispy on the edges and cakey and spongey on the inside and they were gross but my toddlers liked them lol shhhhhh dont tell lmaoo

  • Can anyone answer this? Every time I make cookies, the center kinda puffs up o3o I usually place the cookies in the center of the oven. I want flat cookies like how Laura makes them, I don't want them to puff up :P

  • @iScream2173 Flat them a little bit with your index and middle fingers before they go in the oven. I always do that and my cookies come out perfect and flat :D
