  • I find it interesting that the website they mention, atheist.ca, redirects to catholic.net.

  • As to whether or not there is a God can be debated and discussed. That I think that is good. I also believe that the real villain here is religion.Do you really think you need some priest or holly man to tell you how to live your life. Stop. Think. If we all did this, life would be much better.

  • Many say that they believe in space aliens, but I had never seen a space ship or any space aliens. But only those who believe in God are going to be entitled to heaven as those who do not believe maybe left out when their time ends. I am not going to take the gamble as I may end up facing God on my last day on earth. God is not bad, but a better way to live your life and a chance to come home, heaven.

  • God wouldn't give the sirname PUGCALIWANGAN to anyone he loved.

  • It's funny how people get all bent out shape about these ads. Where were all the protesters about the billboards that were black and white and signed "--God," or, the got Jesus ones?

  • Atheism is neither creed nor religion, therefore it does not have coverage under the law. There are laws to cover faiths and beliefs, but really nothing to cover the lack thereof, something easily challenged in court if a group was to take it that far. That being said, atheists are beginning to reach the same status as religion, where the few intelligent people are providing the dogma for the random tools to spew without any free thought really taking place. So much for rational discourse.

  • @Unrequitedstorm "Atheism is neither creed nor religion, therefore it does not have coverage under the law." True, atheism is not a religion, but it is a religious viewpoint or position. The US supreme court classified atheism as a religion, so all laws governing, and all freedoms given to religions would also apply to atheists as well. The government doesn't care about the "truth" of their classifications, but only in how well it allows them to keep order.

  • "It's kinda offending to the people that believe in god." Oh kill me now.

  • So, hold on. Astheism is a "creed or reliion" now? How can you define atheism as a religion most of all, when they don't believe in religion to begin with??? WoW...a religion about not believing in religion. HAHAHAHAAA!!!

  • If you can run an ad that implies there is a god, then you can run an ad that says there is a Vishnu, a Flying Spaghetti Monster, or no god at all.

  • take your fairy tales and shove them up your ass

  • @mcdinkity

    lol!!

  • I find the stupid churches and crosses in my neighborhood offensive. Take that shit down.

  • Dude if you live in Canada then they should not be outing them up because they have it in their national anthem

  • Jesus is dead and so is santa and the easter bunny

  • @livin4jesus0225 Horrible argument. A religion can't disown someone as soon as they do something bad. No one is a true Christian then as not even the most hardcore of Christians follow everything written completely. I'm sure there are plenty of "sinners" among them but you'd still call them good Christians if they were otherwise good people. The same applies to every other religion.

  • @livin4jesus0225 TRULY*

  • This was an absolute must for free speech in a secular government.

The sight of a church offends me, now what?

  • Nice!

and to think i used to believe in a fairytale. SMH

  • why dont you just put an advertisment like

"dont procreate" "YOU can be the father of a bastard child" "practice makes perfect"

  • Comment removed

  • Why isn't it controversial when a picture of god or Jesus is put on a billboard but it's controversial when it's an Atheist doing it? My kids couldn't even go trick or treating this year without getting invitations from three churches. Atleast we're not going around preying upon little kids while they are trying to have fun. Christians are just pissed off cause a minority has an opposing opinion they are expressing. Religion has always had a problem with minority groups.

  • @exacerbatedtaboo

very well said. Did you children's ability to trick or treat really lie with churches? Please tell me you're joking.

  • i never see ppl taking down crosses or god bless this place signs. get over it.

  • these signs were in response to catholic signs saying "jesus died for ur sins" and bible quotes on teh buses. no different.

  • man you are just not as smart as you would like to be. In fact the reason the bus campaign started, in UK, was because God freaks got to put out their message. So Atheist wish to put out theirs in the same way..freedom of expression and in Canada there is no constitutional seperation of Church and state as in the USA..read a book moron.

  • We're the minority so get over your persecution complex you twat flap.

  • @sal420711 Listen moron h y p o c r i s y You're smarter than a fifth grader, aren't you? On second thought, don't answer that. Now get back to your imaginary friend, I'm sure he misses you!
  • offending to those who do believe in god? what about all the fucking christian ads? grow up.

  • God Was Just Made Up Because People Were Scared Of Where They Came From So They Make It Up To Make Them Feel Better....False Hope And Happyness!I Agree With the State Ment.

  • They need these buses in America.

  • @LCC144 They need these blimps in America

  • That money could have fed the homeless.

  • There is nothing wrong with this ad at all. If religious ppl are offended by these adverts then I am offended by religious adverts.

Like what makes them say ok to pro Christianity ads and not to this. Just doesn't make any sense at all.

  • Why does so many consider "I'm offended by that" to be an argument at all? It's just stating a fact. It's just as valid an argument as "I'm turned on by that" is regarding commercials for shower products for women.

I happen to like this ad campaign, as it promotes discussion, and the only reason for taking offence from this that i can see is fear of it being true. And as for the statement, there is more evidence against than for a THEISTIC god, but as with most things in life it's not certain.

  • Woo! Love these adds!

  • Why would one be offended by this ad?

  • " da freedom of speech eh?"

    my freedom of speech: " f **k you "

-many people would find this really offending, since there is like 50+ religions that beleve in a god. and wtf " 2543" said no? while 4020 said yes?

Athtisim or other s*** is a stupid religion... actually, having no religion is better than being Athtisim because you are not offending the god, you simply don't know him.

AND what if there is there a GOD??

  • FUCK YOU TTC

  • they want everyone to think the same way. scary. think it's more close minded than believing in a god. believe in NO GOD or else I guess.

  • Wow this is pretty shocking. Why would they put these things on the bus? What would be the point of putting these things in? Believing in god doesn't harm anyone but yet they plan to put these ads on a ttc bus. It's like their trying to disprove God for no apparent reason which is very wierd to me. They focus on trying to tell people he doesn't exists rather then spending this ADS money on something more important.. I'am a christian so I think god is trying to say something to us.. anyone else?

  • you complete hypocritical moron.

  • Yes, japong. God is trying to tell us that it does not exist.

  • "It's kinda offending". I laughed.

  • everything is offensive.. freedom of speech

  • I live in Toronto!! I love these adds!! Make more of them!

  • water into wine = ppl on acid

NO GOD. everything happens for a reason. we Evolved

  • hahaha did god create disease? did adam and eve have belly buttons? hahaha did jesus masturbate? hahaha (oh man ima get killed for that last one) hahaha no seriously thou, nope no god

  • God created everything in the universe, but disease was brought into this world by man's sin. And no one can know if Adam and Eve had belly-buttons. And the last question is just flat-out stupid...

  • hahaha ok i was kidding bout those questions, no there is no god, million year old fossils, billion year old stars, and the fact that theres like million diff religions, all of them that can be traced back to just focklore or one guy with an idea, all religions are pretty much asenine, but christianity is the most contradictory one of all

  • There is only one God! Kurt Cobain. He died for your sins. And he also killed glam metal

  • Think about this:

According to scientists, in the beginning, there was a central point of gravity, and it was very dense. How that even became, you can't explain. Something can't come from nothing. The it all exploded outwards. Then there was a swirling could of dust that happened to come together. That cloud of dust formed Earth and somehow cells came to exist. Those cells' DNA told them to come together to form tissues, then organs (which had no existence at the time...). Then we came to be.

  • Think about this:

The bible says the Earth was created in 7 days out of nothing (something can't come from nothing like you said) and that it happened thousands of yrs ago.

Scientists have determened that the Earth is millions or yrs old via radioactive decay tsting and other various methods.

If the bible is right, and the earth is "thousands of yrs old" then how do u explain this? and how do u explain other things such as:

Tectonic plates, mountains, erosion and dinosaurs?

  • Who's to say an all-powerful God can't create something from nothing? God created what He wanted, such as tectonic plates, mountains, and dinosaurs. And erosion is the process by which the surface of the earth is worn away by the action of water, glaciers, winds, waves, etc.

And when you meet a scientist that is millions of years old, let me know.

  • oh the old "God can do anything" because of "magic" argument. When you meet a man that's lived to be as old as moses, u let me know fundy.

  • science has more facts and uses than the bible. for all you religious fanatics go play with santa clause and wish for miracles, while the non-believers find cures for cancer and aids (which "god" has created).

  • This goes to all you Atheists: If there's no life after death and there are no gods, then what's the point in living? Why don't you do whatever you feel like doing? Go ahead and steal, cheat, and murder. Who cares, it makes no difference in the end anyways. Where do you think the idea of good and bad came from anyways? Why do we humans think in that way?

  • lmfao, first of all even if there is no life after death how does that effect that we should not murder or kill or steal. secondly, do you honestly think an omnipotent being said DONT KILL, DONT STEAL. hah, its just natural law. murder is wrong by any account not just religious believers, so before you so quick to bash athiesm you should really learn more about your religion and figure out that the whole moses and ten commandment bullshit was obviously a way to get RULES across to people.

  • and honestly YooHoo52, you have fun donating countless dollars to a church that doesnt give anything in return other than a BELIEF (which is exactly what atheism is) that cant be backed up whats so ever.

now dont get me wrong here, im not saying there is no god or there is, i just BELIEVE there isnt and thats exactly the point of those ads

  • YooHoo52:

If there is a God, and He's so freaking awesome and Heaven is just the best thing ever...why don't you just kill yourself?

  • a statement like that doesn't even warrant an answer... honestly, it's common sense, something that only a God could give you. and if i killed myself, i wouldn't be able to tell people about Christ and what he did for you. suicide is a very selfish act, the only person it affects physically is yourself, and it affects everyone else emotionally. suicide is just selfish.

  • what makes it wrong? what moral absolute do you stand on that says murder is wrong, if you don't hold to an absolute?

  • logic makes it wrong. His absolute is morality and empathy for other people. I am sure we'd all want murder to be considered wrong because we don't want to get killed....duh. I'm aethist, and I have compassion for other people. you don't need God to be good.

  • You see, you'd want it to be wrong. But what is "wrong" if you have no absolute to base it on? And like you said, the reason you'd want it to be "wrong," is so that you didn't get killed. And what is compassion? What do you compare that to?

  • I read a New York Times article on this ages ago. There were Christian ads first, so eh.

In my opinion, religion is rarely just blind belief. Sometimes it's a tool to gain power over others, sometimes it's a way to comfort yourself over a loss. It can be good or bad, depending on who believes in it... But it's never the truth.

Personally, I'm an atheist. Sometimes it's hard to face the truth, that there is no life after death, that the end means the end, but you still SHOULD.

  • first off, do you know what's going on in the minds of others? also, what do you consider the truth? and can you prove there's no life after death, b/c if you can, tell me about it...

  • TheLimeyLord:

    I agree with you 100% :)

YooHoo52: can you prove that there is a God/Jesus? Have you read the bible?

  • Jesus is God, and i have not read it all the way through. i'm sure you haven't either.

  • And yes..I HAVE read the bible all the way through. Jesus was not "god" himself, but the son of God. God supposdley sent his son to die 4 sins.

Sounds like u need to read that bible. Sounds like u just believe anything other Christians will tell u without looking into it yourself.

  • Yes, Jesus was God himself. Jesus is God, and he is the son of God. There you are wrong.

And it sounds like you'll believe anything Atheists and scientists will tell you without looking into it yourself. And when you do look into it, you just believe it nonetheless.

  • No, you're wrong. Ask any theologian and they will tell you that Christ was God incarnate.

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. to a certain extent.

It starts to get a little annoying when someone starts getting obnoxious, isn't it? At that point, no one wants to hear their opinion. So you might as well be quiet before you make a fool out of yourself. Not that these people are doing that. But it may come to that if they take it too far.

  • I don't believe that any religion should be allowed to advertise on public transportation.

  • Atheism isn't a religion, it's more like the lack there of.

  • actually, it is a religion. it's a belief in no gods, and all religions require faith in some way.

  • Actually, it's not a religion.

  • Also not playing golf is a sport.

  • This offends Christians, but ads about God might offend Aethists...

    Christians are so closed-minded

  • If Christians are close-minded, then what does that make Atheists?

  • Open minded. Thanks

  • open minded to what? you just listen to all the crap that's shoved in your faces day-by-day and think nothing of it?

  • What crap is being shoved in my face everyday? Christians are the ones blindly following/believing in crap shoved in their face. I know, I USED to be Christian! I've read the bible. It's stupid. Most Christians I know, haven't read the whole bible and don't even know how it came to be. So, don't tell me that Atheists are being fed bullshit when Christians are the ignorant, selfish ones.

God, you couldn't have made this argument ANY easier for me to win.

Go thump your bible and cry to Jesus.

  • Stop believing stories people made up to explain things in the times they knew nothing, and the only explanation was "GOD" , i mean just think of it...

    religion isnt logical at all.

  • As opposed to now, when we know everything...

  • As opposed to now, when we are honest and use a systematic approach to slowly understand the universe instead of God's Work" and burning those who disagree with us......

  • Imagine for a second that there was a God and that there is hell... wouldnt you start worrying too? I am christian, I go to church praise God, hang out with friends and have fun. But I have nothing to worry about because I know that I am saved by the blood of Jesus who died for my sins.

I dont find those ads offending i just find them "politically incorrect" as it is popular to say nowadays. Because I am sure in my belief, salvation and redemption, I also know what happens to those reject God

  • "Imagine for a second that there was a God and that there is hell... wouldnt you start worrying too? I am christian, I go to church praise God, hang out with friends and have fun."

Really?? So you're not worried at all about offending the great Zeus with your modern trendy Christian beliefs? I dont think Zeus takes kindly to blasphemers of the original Grecian Truth.

  • Screw Zeus, I'm more worried about the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

  • Ramen to that, my friend.

  • Touched by his Noodly Appendage

  • So your basically saying

    God is a man,

    God is a human being

    and God is white.

    God is God, nothing else

  • If this message offends someone then their faith isn't that strong anyway. If you are confident in your beliefs then I would think someone else's shouldn't bother you. Hell, we have to be bombarded with religious messages ALL the time, isn't turnabout fair play? I am offended that people can be so easily led to believe in imaginary beings.

  • Great. Religion points the finger God, therefore he's the villain. It makes me sick how people can attack an obvious diversion from the real source of the perceived problem. BLAME THE RIGHT FRICKEN THING YOU MORONS. IT'S NOT GOD THAT MAKES YOU WORRY, ITS RELIGION. And if God doesn't exist, why does it matter that "GOD" makes you worry? I have to laugh at all of you. God is supposed to be the epitome of all good, and is everything you WANT him to be--NOT something that would "worry" you.

  • Why doesn't god represent all that is bad as well? Didn't god create everything? I laugh at all of you who praise god for all good but then don't give him his due for all the shit in the universe.

  • God is Good. God created hell not sin. sin comes from Satan. God always gives you a choice, and your options are to either follow Him or satan.

  • If god is good, then why did he create hell? What crime deserves an infinite punishment?

  • Paedophillia wud for me and use of depleted uranium on kids. I'm not God tho and if God wants to forgive such people is his choice. Not believing in God is what gets you sent hell. If your atheist however it would not matter, unless ...

  • Sin deserves infinite punishment, that's why God sent Jesus to save us from our sin. It says that in the Bible. You'd have known that if you weren't so ignorant.

  • Who's more ignorant: the guy who uses logic and analysis to live his life or the guy who believes that a magical Jewish carpenter born over 2,000 years ago asking us to ignore critical thinking, common sense, and even self-preservation was sent from God to save us? I know more about Christianity than most YooHoo, like the council of Nicaea, Arianism, and the reformation. So what languages was the bible originally drafted in? Who translated your holy text?

  • @charleshoskinson Posting A sign saying "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

  • and gas ......... ooops!

  • That's awesome..

And what the hell, a phone poll? Obviously only offended people will call it (well, mostly). Polls like that just don't work.

  • Good. I look forward to reading these on my daily commute.

  • god is a self-righteous maniacal tyrant

  • How come? Because people made him out to be that way? Or have you met him personally?

  • How do you know god is a man? Have you met it personally?

  • God is not a man, this is the lie that the trinitarians spew against God. Jesus was a man that has had his name tarnished by people who claim to be his followers.

God is not a human being to even have a gender, this is a supremacist sexist ideology

  • Actually, Jesus was a man, and Jesus is God. the Trinity is: The father, he son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Wow, is that all it takes to be considered offensive? There are people everywhere who don't believe in gods, and people who do believe in a god of sorts, but don't think much about it in everyday life. Pretty uncontroversial message IMO.

  • But if I express the word of god on the streets, I will be arrested.

Lots of laws to protect evil, no law to defend God!

That's the world molded by the illuminati the fathers of communism, nazism, fascism, and the UNO.

  • You sound like my grandmother. Where do you live that you would be arrested for talking about God? Are you sure it's not just paranoia?

  • Lol, I love how christians find this offensive, and that it should be taken down.

What about the christians advertising god and to follow him, and if you don't you will die. Is that offensive? yes.

We need to see more ads like this.

  • Honestly what is this world coming to . Like if people dont believe in God ok thats their choice but why put something so offensive up .

  • Would it be alright to put an advertisement saying? If you're not catholic, you're going to burn in hell for all eternity.

It's only offensive because you aren't caring to tolerate other peoples views. These ads aren't saying anything negative about 'God', they are just bringing up a statement.

    Now stop worrying.

  • No, thats the thing you dont see that kind of stuff written on buses. I've never seen anything like that written publicly anywhere

  • You're offended because you don't feel comfortable when you think your faith is under attack. All for saying that one aspect of your belief is probably wrong... it doesn't say it is wrong. Would it be okay to change it to "There Probably is a God, So you should be worrying how you live your life" ?

  • Well the thing is, it says "WORRY." That basically generalizes that any God-fearing person wastes their life WORRYING, and I think THAT'S where the source of the offense is. Look, just because you believe God doesn't mean you're unhappy and spending too much time worrying. Some religions make you worry, but God alone doesn't make you worry. Blame the right thing, okay? It's not right that you attack God for what religion has done to him.

  • Guess you missed the whole point of them, that's why you're offended, and you're worrying over the add even. If words against your beliefs are harmful to your belief, you should look at getting new beliefs.

And if God does everything, then he does make you worry. And it's a don't worry. Put one out saying "You should worry if you haven't gone to church" and it would be true in the opposite spectrum, and would be hinting at punishment, while the other side has no punishment or anything in it.

  • how is it offensive if they already have ads for religion saying their is a god and to convert now

  • How come there was no kerfuffle when those bible study ads went up?

  • communist jew subversion of course

  • Yes you are a racist jerk that believes in the same crap that Communists do, hanassi. Go praise David Duke, you racist failtard.

  • does "anti-smoking" ads offend smokers in the United States?

  • Being offended is not a good reason to not allow the signs. Christian organizations regularly post such things all over the place here in Georgia, regardless what other people believe. Free speech dictates that we should be able to post billboards as well.

  • typical multicultural PC report

  • Put 'em up! Make sure everyone can see them!

These ads aren't offensive. These ads cause religous people to think critcally about there beleifs and they don't like that. That's why they don't want them up.

  • If anyone can post whatever they want or believe so let's leave the atheists to post their signs then, tomorrow will be the ones promoting abortion too. It might say: "Abortion is fine, stop worrying and enjoy your life". Is free speech limitless?

  • Free speech limitless? Of course not!

Otherwise there would be billboards and posters everywhere telling me I'm an awful person who deserves to die and burn because I don't believe in Jesus and god.

  • Not. That is different, because you are attacking others' beliefs. Get it right dude!

Looking forward to see also: "Abortion is probably fine, stop worrying and enjoy your life". :-p

  • only if you ask

  • i have to ride the ttc and read the bible quotes, and such, that are posted in the subway. as an atheist, does it bother me? no. its a free world. the message is rather inspirational.

  • It's amazing how fundies are so easily "offended" by something as innocuous as a sign, when they seem to get off telling everyone else they're "going to burn in hell." As though that isn't offensive... ?

Man, it looks cold up there.

  • I think it is great to challenge EVERYTHING! There is no reason to accept anything that anyone tells you without some sort of evidence. This should spark a good debate!

  • Do not pusseyfoot around with the word,Probobly, just fuckin say outright there is no God.God and Gods are the product of mans imagination, therefore under that premis alone and not atheism, but logical intelligence would state the fact that there is no such thing as god, just alot of disillusioned beleivers ,so you can all get on with living.Because once your living is done, that's it,no bullshit Heaven, nirvana, etc, etc,Finished,Expired, etc, call it want you want,No God and no more party.

  • These Atheists are a bunch of hypocrites; they don't want Christians to express their freedom of believe Saying that there's a God but its ok for them telling others that their no such thing as a God.

  • And yet Christians do express their views all the time on tv ministries, radio, church every sunday etc. etc. This is the first time Ive ever seen anything like this from an atheists point of view.

  • Oh no, they suggested that you are "probably" wrong. how offensive.

Its so much worse than telling people that they are immoral and will be tortured forever if they refuse to believe exactly what you tell them to without evidence.

If being told that you could be wrong is offensive, then I would avoid south park, that will blow your tiny mind.

  • They should take down your post, it's offensive.

  • There was an ad pictured on a Flyer D901 which is impossible since they all retired more than a year ago. Silly billies! :p

  • Look...

It's fine... religious creed, espoused by credulous ignoramuses, is a recidivistic vice that humanity needs... it allows for a balance... so we are fine where we are... appreciate wisdom if you have it... if you don't, appreciate the safe wall in your brain made of dogma and ignorance... they are both comfortable positions... leave all be...

and for all the atheists, displace religions cupidity but let them retain their stupidity... after all its not violating any liberties

  • lol intelligent design? you people don't believe in gravity either right? what is that called? intelligent falling? - co the onion

there are fossils of many long dead species, we have many vestigial remnants. oh and god doesn't exist. so it all makes perfect sense.

  • i guess this will be an eye opener for christians. If you are offended by the "no god" ads, realize that atheists and other nonchristians would be offended with your ads about christianity in the public forum. It's about time the majority realize they do not have the monopoly on taking offense and more inportantly, that the world does not have to suspend its activities to accomodate your propensity to take offense when the truth contradicts what you believe

  • its your eyes that need to be opened not a true christian..get it right guy

  • Why do many prominent evolutionists insist that macroevolution is a fact? After criticizing some of Richard Dawkins reasoning, influential evolutionist Richard Lewontin wrote that many scientists are willing to accept scientific claims that are against common sense because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. Many scientists refuse even to consider the possibility of an intelligent Designer because, as Lewontin writes, we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.

  • /fail

  • Science only deals with the Natural world. What can be observed, tested and measured.

Invisible sky Daddies don't fall into this category. Books composed of myths, especially those that have men living in *big fish* for 3 days don't qualify.

  • typical..avoiding the plain logic to talk about a fish..get with the program

  • Ok if not a fish then how about a man in a boat with all the worlds critters!

After all, this is in your good book is it not? Tell me, do you actually *believe* that stuff?

  • sociologist Rodney Stark is quoted in Scientific American as saying: Theres been 200 years of marketing that if you want to be a scientific person youve got to keep your mind free of the fetters of religion. He further notes that in research universities the religious people keep their mouths shut, while irreligious people discriminate. According to Stark, theres a reward system to being irreligious in the upper echelons [of the scientific community].

  • To date, scientists worldwide have unearthed and cataloged some 200 million large fossils and billions of microfossils. Many researchers agree that this vast and detailed record shows that all the major groups of animals appeared suddenly and remained virtually unchanged, with many species disappearing as suddenly as they arrived.

  • After reviewing the evidence of the fossil record, biologist Jonathan Wells writes: At the level of kingdoms, phyla, and classes, descent with modification from common ancestors is obviously not an observed fact. To judge from the fossil and molecular evidence, its not even a well-supported theory.

  • Quote mining = /fail

  • Hater getting owned = dreamdewil.

  • ROFL hahahahahah *you have to be kidding*!!!!!

    "Jonathan Wells"

Do you *know* who he is!

Read the *Wedge* document to get his *true* agenda.

Jonathan Wells is from the Dishonesty Institute.

"Wells wrote that the teachings of church founder Sun Myung Moon, his own studies at the Unification Theological Seminary and his prayers convinced him to devote his life to "destroying Darwinism","

ROFL This is way to funny. Hahahahah

  • MASSIVE /FAIL!!!!

  • "appeared suddenly and remained virtually unchanged, with many species disappearing as suddenly as they arrived. "

This is bullshit lies. Typical creationist crap. Especially bad when a quick Google can show otherwise.

  • go tell it their face its bs..who the hell are you to go against your own evolutionists who have made those comments..keep on being blind in your own ignorance..no one can help you

  • What in the hell are you babbling about now brook?

Do all Theists make as little sense as you?

  • observation, no matter how convincing, does not presuppose conclusion. For example, a person researching laser physics could insist that light is a wave, similar to a sound wave, because light often behaves like a wave. However, his conclusion would be incomplete because the evidence also indicates that light behaves as a group of particles, known as photons.

  • Similarly, those who insist that evolution is a fact base their conclusions on only part of the evidence, and they allow their own presupposed conclusions to influence the way that they view the evidence.

  • "I find it amazing that anyone accepts the theory of evolution as fact when evolutionary experts themselves argue over how it is supposed to have happened. For example, would you accept arithmetic as a proved fact if some experts said that 2 plus 2 equals 4, while other experts said it was believed to total 3 or possibly 6? If the role of science is to accept only what can be proved, tested, and reproduced, then the theory that all life evolved from a common ancestor is not a scientific fact"

  • WOLF-ELÖNNIG forpast 28 years I have done scientific work dealing with genetic mutation in plants. 21 those years at Max Planck Institute at Plant Breeding Research Cologne. My empirical research in genetics and my studies of biological subjects such as physiology and morphology bring me face-to-face with the enormous and often unfathomable complexities of life. My study of these topics has reinforced my conviction that life, even the most basic forms of life, must have an intelligent origin.

  • The New York Times Magazine. Writer Claudia Wallis stated that intelligent design proponents are careful not to bring God into the discussion. And Newsweek magazine commented that I.D. has nothing to say on the existence and identity of the designer.

it is futile to try to evade the question of the designer. How could the explanation involving design in the universe and of life itself be complete if the existence and identity of the designer were concealed or not even considered?

  • One major reason why many question the existence of God is because they want to believe the lie that there is no God. Gods righteous law is an uncomfortable restriction. They want to be free to pursue their selfish course without the pangs of conscience that would gnaw at them should they be accountable to Gods law. And so, because they do not accept the love of the truth . . . God lets an operation of error go to them, that they may get to believing the lie.—2 Thess. 2:10, 11.

  • " Each animal is in some way uniquely designed to suit its particular environment, and I cannot help but attribute the complexity of the design to a Creator, rather than to random evolutionary forces. "
