I am going to be this guy for Halloween one year. He's is one of the creepiest characters ever conceived. Road Dahl helped write the screenplay - so this is part of his subconscious.

He's captured but doesn't die in this movie. I think he could be only be killed by somebody equally wierd - like Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka.

Look up Robert Helpmann on imdb or watch "Tales of Hoffman" from the people who made "The Red Shoes." He has Buster Keaton eyes but doesn't look nearly as threatening.
