The "Greatest Generation Ever" built us a great country with great infrastructure. Now their children and grandchildren, WE are the CHEAPEST GENERATION are letting everything they built FALL-A-PART!
We waste our National Treasure on foreign folly and shipped the rest to nations that hate us for cheap gadgets and the energy to run them.
Billions for a war based on lies but no money to maintain the safety of bridges. Keep contacting your elected members of congress and tell them you want cheney and bush impeached.
The Minnesota State Capitol is filled with nannies who waste everyone's time banning toy guns, athletes from switching schools, smoking, etc., rather than doing the essential work government is supposed to do. Look for Gov. Pawlenty to turn this into a nomination for Vice President in 2008. I live 3 miles from this bridge. It didn't need to collapse. Our pretentious soccer moms-turned-legislators are less than worthless.
It will be curious to see if funding for annual Bridge Inspection Programs by the Federal Highway Administration and other agencies has been cut on an ongoing basis in favor of funding Bush's Oil War in Iraq. Sad situation regardless, my condolences to the families of those affected.
It will be a lot more then 7 in the morning pupster.
Thanks for this video Chuck I didn't get to see this.. Oh my god.. I got down there at 7:30 and filmed as I biked, ending up in Dowlings studio on the Guthries 9th floor... wow, this video is .. ineffable. I'm sure some one will have better quality but thanks for being timely. What a tragic day.
I just put up Bridge Video that details an area on bridge that is not lining up right. Looks like bottom truss cord is broken before collapse.People reported Bridge was bouncing around big time before collapse. Were nuts and Bolts Removed?
Amen. They spend $4000 a second to kill people and give welfare to corporations but won't give Americans healthcare or take care of our infrastructure.

Yes, White house officials. Regulate monitoring the status of infastructure instead of killing human beings in Iraq.

You got a point, spend money on U.S. citizen instead of selling arms to Saudis for more wars!
