I loved this intro. The music playing looking at the stars was just surreal, it totally set the scene for one of the greatest games ever made, not just Metroid. Other M can suck it and keep all it's stupid melodramatic cutscenes, i'll stick with the classics. Hopefully Retro Studios brings out a Metroid side-scroller at next years E3, they've got a lot of work to do to correct all the damage Team Ninja and Sakamoto did to the Metroid franchise, and Samus' image....

You know what I noticed? That ship looks a LOT like the one shown when Samus has that memory cut scene in Other M, where Ian (Adam Malkovich's brother) dies.

yes! i just bought another memory card for my gamecube! (lost all mine after i got the wii) I like the gamecube version a lot more than the wii one, and i'm gonna play through my metroid prime again! By the way, can you beat rundas in MP:3 without the hyperbeam on hypermode difficulty? i'd love to see that, i find it hard to do, but it's possible, took FOREVER for me to do! I remember playing Super Metroid as a kid in the 90's, then when Prime got announced somewhere between 2000-2001, it was like a dream come true.

Nothing has amazed me to this day as the Space Frigate intro when she jumps off her ship, everything gets quiet, and they play the save station load tune as we zoom in on her 1st Person view. Nothing.

Fusion suit you get by transferring data from Metroid Fusion using the GBA link cable.

This game is the best game I ever played on console! I have Echoes too, but hate the fact that theres an ammo limit, and not the original beam weapons from MP1... Metroid Prime is amazingly elaborated, and really makes you feel you are Samus! And I like the graphics too, for a game that is 6 years old.

MP1 is my favorite too. The music is just better than MP2-3. Enemies are mysterious, and scary. Phazon is interesting, and makes sense in a strange way. A "living planet" simply doesnt make sense, nor did it explain where Phazon came from.

Nah they're different.

I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that Samus looked better in this game. The suits looked similar graphics wise in all three Prime games but Samus' face in MP1 was much more realistic and pleasing to the eye.
