His was named "The Cannon "( most famous antique violins have a name).

Paganini's violin is on display in Genoa Italy.

Del Gesu is an interesting maker. He( so the Hills say in their book) only made an instrument when he needed money. His main profession was a performer( so they believe). His instruments lack the beauty and craftmanship of Stradavari, but as far as sound goes they're hard to beat.
