Motor kv is reverse from brushed motors the lower the kv the more torque the higher kv the more speed.

lower "kv" rating doesnt mean less power...the lower kv it has just means less RPM per volt but the trade off is more torq...so to sum it up less kv = less rpm per volt "speed" but more torq, higher kv more speed less torq

hey tankjr85 tht esc does get hot but u have to buy a seprate fan to keep it cool and to run 4s batterys on this you have to disable the BEC and put a UBEC on the reciver, is what im doing to my e maxx

WILL WHEELIE !! Assuming you are talking about running twin 7.4s'...I've had my 4000's last over a half hour, but if you're squeezing the throttle good and plenty they may only give you 15 minutes. Really varies. I have now gotten some crazy 45C 6S and the truck is absolutely amazing! on 4S it is chillin, like takin a nap, compared to 6S when she WAKES UP!!!!!!...on 6S you break shit like glass though, run those 4S for a good 6 months then upgrade, you'll fall in love all over again!

No way my E-Revo Brushless mamba just destroyes savage fluxes even on the track. The Flux is good for bashing and jumping. I actually want one for that reason but the E-revo does all of them pretty good and its fast as hell.

I'm trying to figure out which one i want as far as the TC4 or Rustler. Either way i'm going to break a speed record with either one. I've been planning on this for a while. I have a friend with a huge Blackjack 55 boat and that thing gets up to 65 to 70 MPH on the water.

Yeah the BlackJack 55 is a bad ass RC boat. Yeah my mind is going toward the Rustler but my friends TC4 can push 90 now with no problem. Its brushless and he's trying to go for some speed records. I want him to post some but he says his car ain't shit compared to some guys who's already went over the 100 MPH mark. Also that new 1/16 E revo looks promising as well.

Thats not nothing look on here and look up TC4 speed runs and there are people running at 127 MPH like its nothing. Those are pure drag cars. Pure ass kickers. Its just hard to control them when they get up to those speeds its just to nerve wrecking but i love the challenge. I live here in Tampa and there are guys that have the TC4's up to 120MPH and its crazy to see something at a 1/10scale going that fast. Its almost looks dangerous.(lol)

A TC4 is nothing like a rustler. A tc4 is an on road touring car, the rustler is an offroad stadium truck.

I would actually get traxxas summit bcoz its a lot better than being super fast and cant control it. plus you can go anywhere water, mud, and snow no problems. if i want speed, i'd go for something made for speed like rustler vxl or the mini e-revo, way cheaper. but nice bid anyhow!

The Summit is based on an E-Revo chassis, if using the same powerplant and gearing the E-Revo will always be faster becuase it's lighter. The Summit is better for crawling and very rough terrain due to it's low gear option and the ability to lock the diffs on the fly.

I've heard really good things about this ESC, it's better than a sidewinder and almost up to par with a mamba max. And a few pros who's disassembled it have said it's good very good build quality. I've seen E-Maxxs move really well on 4S and an 8XL. I've got the 18A version in my MLST2.

Thats the best way to go. I've got a 4200kv motor in mine. There's no point in trying to beat land speeds records by fitting an 8000kv motor and hooking up a 3S pack. Everything electric will be stressed. I get a solid 25mph from mine on 2S with plenty of power for wheelies.

Hi, yes just change! no question!! On lipo you get more run time and the power is ther too the end.. no falling, just run a esc with volt cutoff, and sett it too 3.2V or 3.0v but not under, then you´l have your batteries 4 ever.. and dont leave the batteries lying all emty or rull carged. storrage of lipo is between 40-50 % capasity. -SAM

Hi i run my EZrun on 4s 5000 lipo, get 30-40 min run time.. You have 2 use a ubec for the fan, the fan onely manage 6v. and be sure it runs all the time.. I´v burnd 1 esc ezrun after 20 runs.. but it was because of the fan had stoped. If your not running more the 4s. you´ll use the ezrun.. but the manba got more options tough? -SAM

If ur running 4s then y dont u get 8000mah batteries? 8000mah 2s batteries will fit no problem. But if u use 3s then 5000 will fit no problem and maybe up to 6000 if ur lucky. Anyways just a suggestion so u get more run time. Nice truck though. I wanna get a neu motor in my E-revo, probly the 1.5d.

2x2s 5000 mah can become a 4S 5000 Mah og a 2S 10000 Mah. Paralell og sreies- If your looking for a new esc, take a look on the castel creation Mamba monster Max, can run up to 6S Lipo. 2 x 3S lipo 5000 og 6000 mah.

I've never heard of any catching fire. They had a problem were the case was touching the esc board and breaking the bec and causeing the esc to die. They have figured that out and now have started making new case's for the ESC.

Switch out the esc you have to at least a Mamba Max 100A. The motor you are running can handle around 75A.
