  • momma was wrong she was a fighter

  • THANK YOU GOD!!!

  • dont underestimate the little/short ones :)

  • isnt a storm drain those things in the streets that take you down to the sewer...or am i thinking of something different

  • @loveybumblebee554 Storm drains don't necessarily connect to the sanitary sewer (where human waste is). Sometimes the storm sewer pipes just go under the streets for a few hundred meters and empty the rainwater out into creeks or drainage ditches. In this case, the storm drain emptied into a bayou. But to answer you question, I think storm drain systems are technically sewers, so yes.

  • Wow

  • wat the heck how did she survive thats wack

  • I'd be scared she'd get her eye poked out by that drainage stick

  • thank god for the COUSIN !!!

  • a true miracle!

  • five stars:) Made me happy

  • I CRIED SOO MUCH THATS SO EMOTINAL . wen she grabbed her mom and sarted screaming MOMMMYY and huged her and stuff omg so sad lol god was truly with that lil gurl

  • they should at least keep a fence over the hole of the drain so only water goes through not pll !!

    thats so sadd !!! :(

  • There's no way in hell id let my kids play in a flood

  • That Little Girl Is One Tough Effin Cookie(:

I'm Glad She Made It Out With Her Life.

  • it was a good thing the guy was there

  • no way did she live

  • Just wow....

  • When the girl was found, it makes me want to cry by just watching it.

  • Someone is actually taking a camera and recording all this without helping. Genuis

  • @TheAsianParadise It's a re-enactment.

  • holy crap that is awesome

  • they should put them things on the drain pipe so noithin big can get in

  • It's bad enough if you loose a cat or something down those drains, let alone your child.

  • shame, just 3 hours and just gave up like that, that girl could have drowned, thank those lucky stars that she survived

  • dang that storm drain was so small thought

  • thank u lord for this girl to be safe and alive

  • Is this Jessie Mclure?

  • yeah that mother just got proved wrong . THAT GIRL IS A GOD DAMN FIGHTER

  • I'm so happy the kids okay. Shes a fighter.

  • gross drain water...

  • i love those brave courageous firefighters of the HFD

  • Gosh! they gave up after 3 hours of searching!

  • that drain should have a one of those thingys that go over the entrance to stop anything like that happening

  • a grate. Weren't you listening? They put one over it after they got her out.

  • That storm is my name.

  • that would be fuckin scary

  • Omg that must of been so scary.

  • the mom was angry at jesus?? she should be angry at herself for letting her play in a flood

  • I remember that storm... My Mom would NOT let me play in that nasty water... Its sewage water! Plus you could get sucked up like that little girl...

  • I think that the mom should've told them no.

  • Likely the mother may have told them not to play in the water.

  • "Shes not a fighter" - MY ARSE

  • I dont understand how she survied that long

  • lol i cryed a lil

  • i know right @angelpenguin13

  • 5/5

  • 4:04 ISNT SHE DEAD BY NOW????

  • omg omg omg omg omg omg i though she would luckily she didnt omg omg

  • 6:14 Don't ever assume what someone's strength is when it comes to a will to survive. "She's fragile, she's not a fighter." It really pisses me off when people say things like this, the will to survive is stronger then anything else in the world for most people.

  • can u just imagine what that little girl went through?

  • OMG! Was that a play-on-words? x

    Omg so sad :(

  • I completely understand that things happen in an instant, I just cannot wrap my head around ANY responsible parent letting their children go out in a flood!

  • that should have been a 24 hour search. how are they gonna give up til the next day?

  • Comment removed

  • I'm really glad to see that the girl was okay.

  • wow, be glad you're not her

  • i thought she was going to die

  • eaten by a drain!

  • has anybody else besides me seen the ER episode where dr ross rescues a boy in a storm-drain?

  • YES!

  • no tell me the name of it.

    please?

  • I believe it's called "Hell and High Water".

  • OMG, I would Never Let My Kids Play Near A Storm Drain, I would Tell Them If They're Anywhere Near That Storm Drain,

They'll Have To Use Their Heads, Even If Some Other Kids Told Them That It's Ok,

    They'll Tell Them No.

  • Poor girl I hope she's ok

  • They should have bars in the opening of the pipe so you couldn't get sucked in.

  • thats the problem with our government, they don't take preventive measures, they only take action if it is necessary, usually the cost is somebody's life.

  • The reason the government and everything else in this world runs the way it does is because hind sight is 20/20.

  • I was expecting this to be one of the bad episodes, without the happy ending. Its amazing she held out agains the rushing water for so long, the force of water moving like that is incredibly powerful.

  • and a final search?! you dont stop looking until you find her, dead or alive, you pull up the drains if you have to, you don't give up!

  • its so easy to put a cover on a drain, this is scary.

  • The flooded ditch is really extremly dangerous for one of thoe 2 little girls

  • aww...i am in tears :'( that is awesome

  • shouldnt let ur kids play near a storm drain or in the flood waters.. my parents would never let me play in that stuff

  • Its because of her cousin that she is still alive... what a great guy!

  • The most I do is watch the water move into storm drains. I don't go near them.

  • that mad me nearly cry when the girl and the mother reunited ;.]

    lucky as!

  • Stupid Girl, I think that other girl's mom should've told them no. I Remember A Friend Of Mine's Cousion Had His Foot Stuck In A Drainge Ditch Topper, There was a hole on the topper, and the fire department had to get the foot out. and my friend's cousion was ok.

  • "You went down that hole yourself, you came out yourself, so don't tell me can't do nothin' cause you done did it." LMAO Im glad the little girl survived though :)

  • Jesus, that's sick. I don't think she could be normal after that...

  • I dont think I'd EVER play near a storm drain. I mean im 13 so I know better, I DO enjoy being on a trampoline in the rain =P, but back to the point. Its dangerous and even if you cant see the currents of the stormdrains, they ARE very powerful.

  • what kind of mother would let their kids play in a storm dran area?? good god..

  • Yeah seriously. A lot of the segments on this program could have been prevented if these parents would have just paid better attention to their kids.

  • but then there wouldn't be a programme...

  • thats a miracle that she lived it must have been so scary

  • my friend died in a storm drain the very first day of summer vacation. :( it was in like 2006 and his head got like caught in somthing in the drain.

  • what was his name

  • Lol this happend to my mom.

  • aww what a sweet little girl this story is so heart-warming♥ ^_^

  • Holy smokes. I cannot believe she survived that.

  • i prayed i was like oh lord let her be safe let her be safe i was scared im not kidding!

  • OMG, the shirt that the blonde neighbor is wearing is the same one I had when I was a little girl! how funny! I was getting my picture taken from a modeling agency and I got to wear that same shirt! lol

  • God, now that i'm thinking about it, shes gotta be having' some bad back pain by now...

  • omg i would have died of fright!! D:

  • ther girl did not know kids will be kids

  • That is just scary! Can you image doing what she did? she must have been SO tired from holding on all night. What in the world could she have possible held on to down there?

  • OMG, I Would Be One Hystcal Person If My Son Or Daughter Ever Got Sucked Down The Drainage Ditch.

  • thats the best one to date.

  • what a brave and smart child. it's amazing how instinct can save your life

  • nothin like calling your kid a wimp..she's fragile she's not a fighter...might as well have said "well lets throw in the towel because my kids a wuss that don't have a brain the size of a pea to hang on to somethin" geeze gotta love these parents sometimes.

  • thats kinda weird her cousins black and she's white. but thats beside the point. he is a hero for looking for her. so has anyone ever died on any of these things?

  • oh my god i cant beleive she made it

  • BEEP BEEP Richie! They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too! lol

  • lol good movie reference

  • aah hahahahaha I just got that

  • i remember this episode from when i was little. it made my grandpap put a grate on the storm drain at the end of our property b/c my cousins and i liked to play in the ditch when it rained. and no, they didn't LET us play in it. we'd sneak outside, and the ditch can't be seen from the house. kids are sneaky. i know i was at 8, 9 years old.

  • Oh, I'll Bet You guys Got in trouble for doing that, Didn't You?.

  • Trish is not a fighter my ass! How else could she have held on to that drain wall for thirteen hours, much less against the tremendous force of 40 mile an hour flood waters?

  • Reminds me of the segment from 402.

  • OMG thats soo wonderful that shes okay now if it wasnt for her cousin and those two guys she wouldt have been found posibley

  • the police gave up to early

  • i agree

  • The mother should be locked up because she won't make her kids stay inside when the weather is bad

  • it wasn't her fault

  • Right, it was the city's fault. They should have grates on all storm drains no matter how small they are.

  • Well I Think That She Should've Told Them One Word, No.

  • Well I'm Sure She Didn't Mean To.

  • u cant blame the mother KIDS GET INTO EVERYTHING...jeez

  • Umm, SUE THE GOVERNMENT! There's no grate!

  • If that happened to me, I would have been Horrified! Petrified!

  • poor girl :[

  • ooooooooooooo myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy godddddddddddddd

  • the mum was wrong...her daughter IS a fighter!

  • fucking hell, does no one know how to put a grate on the drain?!

  • I almost skipped this particular clip...I can't swim and have always had a fear of water...just the title "Storm-Drain Girl" got me weak in the knees, to be honest...kudos to you, Trisha!

  • This got me really scared I almost cried :(

  • Wow that's amazing bless her heart! She had to be scared to death poor thing!

  • could you imagine spending the night down there?

  • OMFG !!!! THATS MY best freind's SISTER WHO GOT SUCKED IN THE DRAIN LOL! OMG IM SO GLAD THIS IS ON YOUTUBE cuz ive always wanted to see this but lost a copy Ahahahahah!!!

  • really? that is crazy, what does she say about it? What was it like

  • i dont see her often to ask but man they were sayin just how they thought she was dead and it was so tramatic. Shes kind of a terrible person now lol. They live in the same house too! Ha wow it looks all different

  • weird

  • Aww this brought tears to my eyes. Thank god that she is ok! The lord is wonderful =]

  • omg! if i got stuck in that i would scream till i lost my voice!!

  • This was a real horrible case to watch. I cannot really believe that little girl suddenly fell down a storm drain while playing with others in a puddle. We all have to be well aware of all surroundings; watching out for those drains. That girl could have died during this case. For certain she had to be brought to hospital to be examined. No problems were found and she was released.

  • can u imagine that she is about 27 today?i hope she has a goood life with her husband if she has one and with her children if she has any

  • omg, LOL, well she does have kids but no husband. Im actually at that house right now. NO JOKE

  • Storm drains are crazy, since their whole purpose is to collect all the water that accumulates on the surface and distributes it elsewhere. 1/20 of an inch of rain on the surface can amount to 1 foot of water in a 6' diameter drain, so always be safe.

  • OMG OMG OMG imagine if ur child was sucked down a pipe. those rescue workers were shit

  • wish theyd bring the show back

  • she has a angel looking out for her

  • is the episode where a guy gets his penis stuck in a pool filter on YouTube?

  • There was no episode where that happened.

  • lol wtf?penis stuck??!~!~

  • Hahaha lol! sorry could not stop laughing at what you said.

  • A Rescue 911 episode where a guy gets his penus stuck in a pool filter! If there were a segment about that, it would be a rather interesting one, LOL! I can only imagine how Shatner would possibly introduce a segment like that! Maybe something like, "We were all taught at one time or another not to stick our fingers in lightsockets and such, but on said month, said date, of said year, one man learned that your fingers aren't the only parts of your body that don't belong in certain areas." LMAO!

  • there so luck y-.- :\ but really why whould you let your kid do that?

  • cuz theyre retarded! Hahaha thats my freind's family!!

  • Starts at 0:57

  • It's good that it worked out but the rescuers should have gone in the hole to begin with.

  • i think the rescue workers could have done better...

  • omg poor gurl

  • I was a kid when this show first started I think they should bring this show back to the air....with the home and other accidents that they have nowadays the 911 calls would make the show thrieve. how would you get in touch with someone to suggest this???

  • umm.. Im pretty sure thats the first rule of floods. dont let your kids play in them. I know that here where there are flash floods they say that on the news in that crazy list of rules. Now I know why. I thought it was just common sense till now.. What was that mom thinking man.. Idiot..

  • I would never let my children play outside by a storm drain especially after a hurricane. What was that lady thinking letting her kids play out like that and in the front yard? That kid could have died I am surprised that she didn't. I probably would die if I fell down a pipe.

  • I remember watching this show with my grandma in the early ninties, that and Murder She wrote, haha.

    good times.

  • Bayu Wywyu

  • omgggg this is so crazy!

    poor little thing :-(

she must have been so scared

i know i would be and im 20 yrs old!!

    shes a tough cookie

    im glad shes ok

  • Season one segments are the best, anyone agree?

  • I do, although there are plenty of good ones from other seasons as well. I think Season 3 was the second best season.

  • omg did she die?

  • oh wow.......that is a miracle...

  • aww that was so sad i almost cry'd when they found her :(

  • Names for tropical storms are recycled every 6 years unless said storms happens to be deadly and/or costly enough where its name is then retired in respect for the victims.

Subtracting 12 years from 2001 would put you at 1989. :)

The name Allison was also retired in 2001, so you won't be seeing it again. (It was the only tropical storm to have its name retired without ever reaching the status of 'hurricane' (random wiki trivia :P))

  • i remember Allison, i had just finished the fourth grade.

  • that happen super fast. god.

    thats scary.

do you have all the episodes of this show?

  • I have most of them. There are about 20 segments I don't have, but I only have about half of them uploaded on youtube.

  • omg!!!!!!!

  • She shouldn't be angry at Jesus... He didn't do anything wrong. The girl did.

  • the two girls were just havin fuh untill.............

  • Why do they leave kids alone, it causes nothing but chaos.

  • thanks allgood for posting this wonderful story

    marc in nyc

  • same thing happened to me when i was a year old

    a mailman saved me

    god bless him

but it was a horrable storm and i was barly two years old

    but shes LUCKY!!!

  • holy fucking god

i'd be screaming mad skippy if i were down there!!!!

but i'd be inside my house

i never go out in the rain

    i ALWAYS catch a cold

    but if i heard her

i'd be risking my life to save her!!!!

  • would you really? you never know what you'd do till you were in that perdictiment

  • no,i never would know what too do,my dad told me that!

  • omg

  • something like that happened by my house this kid was skatboarding on the dam but he fell of and the river dragged him and hit the wall at 100 mph n all they found were body parts

  • she did not come out of the hole by herself that man helped her lol.

  • ha ha ha "you done did it"
