We have a problem in my community too about females often not speaking up in these situations, one of the main reasons is that females are often blamed themselves, so they just shut up and don't dare to tell. It's already awful to go through something like this, and it hurts when people don't believe you and accuse you instead.

I am not being silent about Barry Pope being a serial rapist. He raped many Black women (some teens). He is a serial rapist, and nothing he can do will every shut me up. He can try to find out who I am and sue me. He is a rapist!

Barry Pope, the guy who made the You Tube, "Make Money Every Month With Google And Clickbank" is a serial rapist.

He made his You Tube so that you can not make comments, because he was being exposed for being a serial rapist. Many of his victims (survivors) are Black females. He used his position as a DJ at KDIA (Lucky 13) Radio to find his victims. Barry Pope is a RAPIST!

Military personnel Niklaus Walter Froehlich gets off Scott free with a less than 2 year prison sentance after the murder of Blake Moors who was trying to protect a famale from Niklaus Walter Froehlich attacking a women. Froehlich trained in martial arts and a full traied Military personnel also has a history of rape, abuse, and asult on women. Superior Court Judge John E. Nobles gives Froehlich a slap on the wrist.

You are irrelevant only because you are the ones being racist. You are saying Whites are irrelevant by focusing only on Black woman who are raped. The problem is Black men who are violent and you are afraid to deal with that issue because you are racist. Ladon Stephens raped and killed, ONLY, White children in Portland Oregon for over a decade! He was caught 6 months after raping and killing Melissa Bitler (another white child) and this case received no press coverage! The reason is a racist, liberal society that refuses to see Blacks as equal or to hold them to the same level of responsibilities as a White.

I understand your frustration on one level, but I think it's important that we realize that Aishah is talking about how the rape of African American women by African American men in particular is silenced because of black/white relations in the U.S., the position (historically & currently) of African American women in the US, the shame of rape, etc. A film could also be made about the rape of men by women or other men, etc. but that is not her project. Why do you consider her film to be sexist?

p.s. I actually have heard of the Fathers for Justice movement and I think it's a commendable project, but I don't see what it has to do with the issue that Aishah is discussing. I think that most people who are concerned about issues like rape and discrimination, would understand and sympathize with the plight of fathers who are not considered by the justice system, but that is not her project.

We are sponsoring a screening of the documentary here in Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 28th at the Eden Park Branch Library. The screening will start at 1:00 p.m. and we will have a question/answer session following the viewing. As a teacher, a crisis counselor and a survivor of rape, I felt it was my duty after finding out about this film to do whatever I could to make sure it was shown in my community.
