I like her work, and I like it's downbeat sound, but the smiles ARE few, far between, and wan at best... she almost smiles several times. I understand that's the work, but without too many change-ups, variations or humor, I could get over it after not too long. I like her, but maybe not to be around all the time (and I'm a Richard Thompson fan, so I like the downbeat, but Richard is NEVER boring).

God, I love this woman! She is so simple and real and melodic. Such feeling is rare these days. The addition of a band takes her music to another level entirely.
