If you learn more about him at first he had the exact same thoughts as you just stated. He is an example of how he was given a choice in how he dealt with his situation. Like all of us we are all disabled in some way it is a matter of how we choose to deal with the challenges that come to us in our lives whether as a result of others choices or our own or whether in his case he was born with them.
