Thanks much for the tip, some of the other Youtube reviews of the #38 gave the impression that there was some tweaking to do before it would fly well. So, other than having to do the factory's set up job, are you happy with this heli? I'm also considering this one: Walkera Hybrid Metal CB180Q Airwolf. I like the gadget factor of the big Chinook, but, the Airwolf looks like a good transition from coaxials and would handle a little wind better.
I am happy with this heli but the downside of it is that I find it can't fly outside even with a small amount of wind and indoors it creates so much turbulence from its own downwash that you need a very large enclosed building (like a warehouse) to fly it in, I also have a Walkera 53Q Dauphin which is much nicer to fly it is co axial but only a single rota head.
Awesome Navy paint job, did you paint it that way, or, where can I order one like it? Nice flying, by the way. I'm considering the Walkera #38 for my next purchase.
hi mate thanks for the compliment I appreciate it, the paint job is my own creation, which was brought on by a damaged body, it is easy to do with enamel model paints and a bit of patience
just a tip if you purchase one be careful with flying it from the box they are rarely set up to fly and with the twin rotar set it takes some tweaking around you have to change the position of the linkage rods inside.
Hi there Nice flying did you paint that navy scheme? or was it purchased from somewhere?
