  • You believe I'm having a problem with Socom 4 Freezing on me .. Every time I enter online matches it goes to load then freeze's up & locks up my PS3 . OF COURSE everyone says oh " it's your PS3 or internet etc etc but NOT ONE other game does this .

  • @MrTestNTune SOCOM 4 freezing is in no way related to this issue. The only reason we figured this issue out was because often times when people froze up on confrontation, it was when we grabbed the mic. So i gave it a try and it worked, I also showed how to port forward since that further alleviated the issue. For your SOCOM 4 issue I would try two things. 1) Delete all game data and saved data from your PS3. (I would try doing Game data 1st) If that doesnt work try exchanging your copy.

  • @mikebayport Yeah I Did that , Both options . Didn't work ! I'm not sure what's going on , Not one game besides Socom 4 an black ops freeze up n lock up system .

other's play just fine online an off line, but no one else is really having this problem with Socom 4 online.

  • PSN: Bigsmoke924 i just got this it cool but hard. I'm from U.K

  • if my starting ip has 2 at the end should i put tht to 100?

  • @russell602

If it says "Starting IP Address"

    Then go ahead.

The point of having it at 100 is because that is the number that your router will automatically start assigning devices to the internet.

So if you have your number lower than the starting IP Then you do not have to worry about accidently putting something that you do not want to have in DMZ into DMZ

  • Hey bayport, nice video. This is PacoFuentes from the forum. One comment, it's bad to put in as you said "random numbers" for the DNS. To find the numbers to put in there, go to your PC, click start/run, type cmd and press enter. type ipconfig /all and press enter. this will show you the DNS server IP addresses you have to put into your manual network settings in the PS3.

  • @postwick

They really arent random.... i just said that lol

Those DNS numbers are the numbers that SONY said to enter if you are having DNS problems.

The numbers for my router cause my ps3 to have loads of DNS errors.....as well as a slower internet download speed.

So i used those numbers that SONY told the public to use.

  • Good job bayport! Doc Eroc here.
