The old steel helmets weren't really meant to stop bullets. It was only meant to protect yer dome from fragmentation from grenades and artillery shells. And even if a .45 Auto puts that deep a dent in the Kevlar helmet (and the ACH comes with those nice trauma pads too y'know), I'd still rather have my bell rung (and live with a concussion) than have my head caved the fuck in.
