  • Massive tune..

  • fu, clownstep rox ... ;d

  • This isn't a collaboration, just Lemon D on a solo one (as was Static on the flip)

  • tjeck out pbp189

  • ohhh dilllllinjaaaaaaaaa

  • yooooooooooo! cool!

  • You cant beat the old Mule :-)

  • heavy rotation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • me likey dis. me likey.

  • gotta love Dillinja & Lemon D!

anybody know if they did a tune where part of it goes "babada doo doo ooo bop bop bop bop......it's my life....life life life life life" i'd swear it was done by them but i can't remember the title to save my life!!!

  • @Nonchalant82 the tune that goes "babada doo doo ooo bop bop bop bop" is 'Dillinja - Promise'

  • @danmiracle thx yo! i've been trying to figure out that one for months now!

  • actual thought was put into this. music too. two of the dnb greats.

  • Nice tune but for me Static wins out & thats the reason I bought this 12"

  • Yeah it isnt a live break as such, like DubBot says it is the Funky Mule from an Ike and Tina Turner song, this break has been used in jungle/drum and bass since the old days, at least as far back as 1993.

The way D and Lemon have used the break in this, is quite original though, i really like it.

  • Awesome I remember Test recordings, what ever happened to them?

  • I was wondering what happened to Test Recordings too...

  • dont know. Had years ago Plates from them.

  • i think they put all other projects on the back burner when they created Valve to be honest.. shame as some of thier best stuff was brought out on Test

  • awesome tune 5*

  • why has dillinja gone so dwn hill, this is a great track and amazing live break! drums aint what they used to be in tracks, even wiv edrush n optical

  • cheers buddie

  • @2ydna2

Look at the Doymerang remix of Technology, Lemon D - Feel It, and an oldschool bukem tape. It's hard to believe where things have gone since around '97. '95 especially. What the hell?

  • i toatlly agree mate, I've just been listening to a 25 minute mix from optical/rush for d&btv on here and it's fucking rubbish. fucking clownstep wobbley shite. I wish it just dies.

  • yes i agree whole heartedly with your comment.. the wobble must die! i didn't mind hearing it in the occasional tune but now 9 out of 10 tunes is pure wobble cheese crap.. what happened to intricate break patterns and well constructed dark rollers? seems like its all about getting the kids into raves these days.

  • as a promoter and event coordinator, we, the ones that actually put in the work of putting these parties/raves together, could give a flying fuck if the "wobbling" goes on all night. As long as 500+ kids are willing to pay $20 to get in,yes, youre' right,it IS all about getting kids into the party. We leave all that other nonsense for the DJ's to deal with.

I agree with what you said but when I read about "getting kids in..",from a business standpoint, its the cold truth.

  • Obivously you dont care about the music.. i bet you wouldnt mind them playing abba all night if your party is rammed and thats fine.. from a business point of view thats cool. im coming from a real dnb fan point of view so the quality of the music is important to me and frankly this jump up wobble shite is rubbish in my view.maybe im just getting old or something! lol

  • we once booked some dnb djs in a downstairs lounge.b4 his set, there was a great acoustic performance going on with about 50 spectators(not ravers) n the trio recieved a decent response.once offstatge, the djs set up & in 20 minutes the place filled up with 150 ravers.of course the acoustic group were REAL musicians playing, what I consider, real music. Now I would LOVE to book the trio for the sake of the love of actual talent but it wouldnt make money and I happen to love money more than music.

  • ohhhhhh, the second break!!! that bassline is so freaking tough!! this was probably my favorite d&b single back in the day - the flip is great as well

  • I feel good good good

  • Thanks for the upload - nice tune. Anyone know where the drums are from? Heard the same set used on a couple of Paradox & Seba tracks.

    Cheers!

  • The break is from 'Funky Mule' by Ike and Tina Turner

Please check my vids inreturn for the info my brother! PEACE!

  • Now were are getting somewhere.

    No more "clown step"!

  • No Clown Step, Crap Step or whatever they that call it nowadays. No Gimmicks on my channel mate. Only the real deal.

  • Great piano intro and a steady backbeat new classic.
