  • I'm51 years old. Back when I was 13 my mother and aunt made taco's . Now very simple they were and tasted awesome. They chopped ice berg lettuce along with green onions and tomatoes---they browned hamburger meat in some water with salt-pepper. Cooked taco shells in oven -then filled shells with hamburger with lettuce mix on top then rotel on top of that-----simple and flat out good. I still make them like that now.....

  • SAUSAGE! it goes with everything, like butter.

  • The first version is pretty much how everyone here in Texas makes queso. For a party I like to make and serve it in a mini crockpot.

  • @tdjtx I grew up eating it the first way. The other additions are also very nice.
