Sorry I didn't explain this. At the time of delivery, I was in the kitchen talking with my mother. It was late in the day and raining heavily. Instead of writing me a reciept, or confirming he had the right address/person, he simply dropped at at my door, and ran. It's not like I had a choice. I went to the UPS store the very next day, and showed them the damage done to my rackmount. They refused to accept responsibility. The only advice they offered me was to contact the seller.
Promptly, I contacted the seller. We had a warranty agreement set forth before hand, and spent the extra money to have the server insured against damage before mailing. This is very sad, because I still have a server sitting behind me that has a fucked up faceplate. Nonetheless, Our business is very important to the local UPS store, as we visit quite often. UPS is apparently stupid enough to not realize who REALLY runs the company. It's the customers that allow it to exist, not themselves.

I wouldn't have accepted it if he dropped it, or at least report it to the UPS terminal it came from.

I eventually hacked it and was able to get it to run linux. But I'm still upset that it was broken because that someone mishandled it...
