its mainly salafis who slander imam abu hanifa saying he knew ten hadith and other such stupid things. imam abu hanifa was one of the wisest scholars of all time, because he was intuitive and INQUISITIVE and had respect for ll knowledge, including that from the street sweeper

Imam Ibn Tayymiyah ra said:

'There is no doubt regarding Imam Abu Hanifa's knowledge; people later attributed many lies to imam Abu Hanifa which were all untrue. The aim of such writings was to taint Imam Abu Hanifa.'
