Awesome car. Great ride. Had a blue Scorpio five door fully loaded in the USA. But then I think they only came that way. The cheaper three door model was the XR4. The back seats even had power tilt. To bad I had to sell it. Parts were imported and nobody had them in stock. Dealer who sold it to me guaranteed to get the parts. Problem was Anything took 3 to 5 weeks to fix. Ford had something real good on their hands but didn't do their homework.
Dara Kinsella (Dublin Ireland ) I know that car very well when I was young 20 years ago it was lots of ford Granada in ireland i used drive all the time it so fab cars I ever had I know lot of people who has this car... But I did not know that car is in USA I thought it most only in uk and Ireland,Europe that all???
@theprofessionalcapri Yeah... only for a short, short time. The Sierra (in only one trim level) was here too, under the same Merkur marque. I liked them, though the brand was too expensive to keep alive in the USA. Ford's intent to challenge the Euro luxury/niche market didn't quite pan out this time around. I'd like to have seen these w/"Ford" labels in the USA, though.
this was a pretty nice car i know someone who owned one very thick leather seats. decent ride nice top speed on the highway. not a lot of power but enough.
