This band played in our engineering college canteen while we were eating our lunch! For free! And I had bought the album a few weeks earlier because I thought 'it looked interesting' ~ Synchronicity! Things like that happened on the early 70s. Fabulous album very unique. Also saw Hawkwind play in Ewell Tech canteen, but in the evening but it didn't cost much to get in. They didn't have the 'dancer' tho'.
I found out about Gryphon while researching the bassoon. They're one of the few rock bands who use that instrument as well as recorders, mandolins, and krumhorns. This is a pretty neat song...I may have to grab some of their albums.
have you actually got any live footage of Gryphon playing PLEASE>>>the band are reforming and set to play At QEH London 6th June this year...not on website yet..leave it for a couple of weeks to reserve tickets as it is a fairly small venue and one off concert..so far!!!
