Wolves deserve to co-exist with people. I still don't understand why some people can look at a wolf in their golden yellow eyes and see nothing but hatred. When I look at a wolf I see love and compassion. They are truly magnificent creatures.

Wolfs are actually nice, the only reason why they would kill a person is because people have killed thousands of them. People would pay 300 dollars for a leg of a wolf, what's the deal of that? I live near the woods where there is nearly any food. But there are hungry wolfs, they would come by my house looking for food. But if I saw one and was able to get close to it I would take care of it like it was mine. Let's say.. SAVE THE WOLFS!

This is somthing some of you would think im stupid for. Ive alwas had strong connections between animals. One day i saw a wolf in the woods at my house so i got a bit closer the thing seemed to not mind and looked curious so i cameabout 1 meter away from it. he went down on his front paws i thought he was going to attack me but no all he wanted of me is to play. i go back almost everyday to him to get tackled and a huge tounge to the face :) he is the coolest thing, i dont see why ppl hunt them

Wish it could be like it was 2oo years ago. 1600 wolves in the greater Yellowstone Ecosystem have had to killed by government agents and there are 1700 more, reproducing at 23 percent per year. Between the overpopulation of wolves and grizzlies, the elk, moose, bighorn sheep, deer populations are being decimated. The Yellowstone wolf is actually an invasive species from Canada introduced by the Federal government. 1/3 larger than the wolves native to Yellowstone that kill and maim for sport.
Wolves are truely a beautiful creatures, we all must help them, before its too late. All mankind (well most) care about is destroying. I hope that we will change our ways soon, before, that too, too late.

@muleywatcher wolves dont attack domestic dogs for sport, i think its more a matter of territory and/or submission ( wolves and dogs are the same kind so it can bring troubles when they meet, dogs are not always familiar with the rules of a wolf group ) and most of the domestic dogs that get attacked by wolves here, in france, are those guarding the sheeps ( they get attacked only because the wolves aim is food ). Even when wolves leave they're hunted prey, other animals will benefit from that. Does the human do this? No, they rather claim a whole group of caribou for their own. If the wolves, like you say, help to get these animal to extinction, how come they survived the many years before people existed?

@farkas171 My typical day of hunting: I'm hiking up a mountain by 5am. It's Idaho so it's not easy hiking, I could come across a bear or cougar, plus it's cold and there could be snow. After hiking for two hours I find a place to sit and spot. Let's say I do find something to shoot. After gutting it I still have to drag it to the truck. Hunting isn't for sissy girls like yourself. You just stick to watching anime and attacking people on YouTube.

Ecosystems can only take so many animals. If it weren't for hunting more animals would get hit by cars, or die of starvation because all of the food gets eaten.

For example, in places where there are landfills that wolves use as a food source, the wolves get so used to people that they show up at the dump when the trucks arrive and tear open the bags right in front of workers without batting an eyelash.

Some people have to kill wolves to protect their livestock. Especially in countries where the terrain and weather won't serve as suitable crop land. Nomads are often complete carnivores. In certain aspects they've got it totally figured out. If they couldn't building better guards/fencing, the only other way to protect the livestock is to kill the hunter(wolf.) Otherwise, soon the livestock would be gone, and the nomads would die.

I have a virtual wolf resource library, its on OSgrid which is similar to Second Life.
It has a classical styled building I made for this, and I am landscaping the rest of the region to mostly forest.
I have scripted "books" that give out text notecards and also send people to the to Amazon to buy used copies of the real books
I have various displays, posters on the walls and living history displays set out, the virtual library can seen on my channel here and on OSgrid.

Wolfs are actually nice, the only reason why they would kill a person is because people have killed thousands of them. People would pay 300 dollars for a leg of a wolf, what's the deal of that? I live near the woods where there is nearly any food. But there are hungry wolfs, they would come by my house looking for food. But if I saw one and was able to get close to it I would take care of it like it was mine. Let's say.. SAVE THE WOLFS!

This is somthing some of you would think im stupid for. Ive alwas had strong connections between animals. One day i saw a wolf in the woods at my house so i got a bit closer the thing seemed to not mind and looked curious so i cameabout 1 meter away from it. he went down on his front paws i thought he was going to attack me but no all he wanted of me is to play. i go back almost everyday to him to get tackled and a huge tounge to the face :) he is the coolest thing, i dont see why ppl hunt them

Wish it could be like it was 2oo years ago. 1600 wolves in the greater Yellowstone Ecosystem have had to killed by government agents and there are 1700 more, reproducing at 23 percent per year. Between the overpopulation of wolves and grizzlies, the elk, moose, bighorn sheep, deer populations are being decimated. The Yellowstone wolf is actually an invasive species from Canada introduced by the Federal government. 1/3 larger than the wolves native to Yellowstone that kill and maim for sport.

This reminds me of my real life story.
Long time ago I bought a wolf cub from hunters who killed his mother.
There were six cubs and I wanted to buy them all to release them back into the wild. I simply had no enough money except for one. I named him Lik.
He lived with german shepherd female (same age) until she died.
After 10 years I found a female wolf for him and released them together...
I needed more than 24 years to help his familly to survive.

@muleywatcher wolves dont attack domestic dogs for sport, i think its more a matter of territory and/or submission ( wolves and dogs are the same kind so it can bring troubles when they meet, dogs are not always familiar with the rules of a wolf group ) and most of the domestic dogs that get attacked by wolves here, in france, are those guarding the sheeps ( they get attacked only because the wolves aim is food ). Aside from that, a wolf can be violent if you go near the babies or if its injured

@muleywatcher Yeah, compare those rare case where wolves hunt prey without eating much with all the people who hunt for sport and fun, just so they can attach a head of some caribou on their wall. Even when wolves leave they're hunted prey, other animals will benefit from that. Does the human do this? No, they rather claim a whole group of caribou for their own. If the wolves, like you say, help to get these animal to extinction, how come they survived the many years before people existed?

thats true guns aren't for cowards... actually i would rather bow hunt any day of the week for me thats more rewarding but yes i have killed at least 20 big game animals with a rifle that doesn't make me a terrible person i eat what i kill and i appreciate it its not a slow death i make sure of my shots and i respect nature. its far more rewards to hike stalk spot and kill an animal then to go to the store and buying beef. i work for what i get so i respect it you probably don't.

@farkas171 My typical day of hunting: I'm hiking up a mountain by 5am. It's Idaho so it's not easy hiking, I could come across a bear or cougar, plus it's cold and there could be snow. After hiking for two hours I find a place to sit and spot. Let's say I do find something to shoot. After gutting it I still have to drag it to the truck. Hunting isn't for sissy girls like yourself. You just stick to watching anime and attacking people on YouTube.

Ecosystems can only take so many animals. If it weren't for hunting more animals would get hit by cars, or die of starvation because all of the food gets eaten.

Fact: In 2009 wolves were responsible for the deaths of 14 cows, 2 goats, 16 dogs, 76 calves, and 344 sheep in Idaho alone. Don't tell me wolves haven't effected humans. That's a load of bull. @TheRealBoof Actually a lot of wolves are completely habituated to humans. For example, in places where there are landfills that wolves use as a food source, the wolves get so used to people that they show up at the dump when the trucks arrive and tear open the bags right in front of workers without batting an eyelash.

@idahowolfkiller In fact, if you want to regulate animal populations, you should burn your gun and watch wolves all over Yellowstone prey on elk and other animals. They are the real hunters, not you. Why can't you just enjoy cow that's bred from birth to be slaughtered? That's what I do, and hey, its pretty delicious!

because its not about eating a cow or eating a deer or eating an elk all together its way more then that. hunting builds strong bonds between families and friends that last forever especially in MT ID and WY. you wouldn't understand because you haven't experienced it. which i get.

You dont need to kill something in order to be connected to people. No, I am not against guns. I do not support guns either. Guns are simply a misfortunate reality of this world. Are you an anti-federalist? You know that movement died back in the 1800s right? There's alot of people who have the right to say what happens in other states (the government).

I agree with you, but sadly it's in human nature to destroy everything and be the dominant species. when humans aren't the dominant species, they go into panic. I feel every living creature on this earth is a part of us; i.e. the wolf is our sibling. I don't understand y some1 would want to kill a beautiful and miraculous part of one's self.

How could anyone kill such a beautiful animal. And for the people that kill them for killing another animal, i guess they haven't figured out that, that's how nature works, Kill, or be killed, the Wolves are just doing what is natural, if you were out in the wild, you would kill to live as well, people are fools to think if a Wolf kills another animals it's not right, if you think that's not right, then look at all the people who kill just for the skins nothing more. Some people have to kill wolves to protect their livestock. Especially in countries where the terrain and weather won't serve as suitable crop land. Nomads are often complete carnivores. In certain aspects they've got it totally figured out. If they couldn't building better guards/fencing, the only other way to protect the livestock is to kill the hunter(wolf.) Otherwise, soon the livestock would be gone, and the nomads would die.
^These aren't rare circumstances either..
