This is the single most advanced and useless piece of technology I have seen yet. It falls short of a computer (or laptop), and its too impractical to take with you like a phone.

While the resolution on the screen is magnificent, its not a tool I would use to watch movies on (or surf on YouTube). The reason is the sound quality, its surprisingly bad for such a device.

It's multitouch features are great, but apart from that and the screen its a hollow shell.

The iPad's purpose: To look fancy.

I thought it was a gimmick until i tried one. I don't have an iPhone and thought apple was lame. But damn, after actually using one, then buying one its AMAZING!! I sold off my netbook, laptop, and Ereader on craigslist after buying it. And the price is super cheap in comparison to a netbook etc. And the graphical power for games in open gl is pretty amazing. It has a flash hard drive so it loads uber fast and its os does not have a memory leak like windows. I am a pc fanboy. But go try one!!

Great product - shame there are so many haters - look at the product and try it out - it's better than they say - and please don't try to compare it to products that don't exist - the the Courier is gone, and the HP slate is "delayed" - as for the others, I will wait until they come out, and than compare - I'm very happy with the iPAD, and surprised (after hearing all the claims of the limitations) by all the things I can do with it - laptop stays home, wifi is everywhere, and so am I!!!

wow this is by far the biggest piece of shit i have ever seen. my fucking netbook was $298.00 and it is so much more capable than that crap. acer aspire one 10.1" screen with an intel atom 1.6ghz HT technology . 2gb ddr2 ram and 160 gb HDD. Ipad 1 ghz cpu and and only 256mb rams OHHH and u cant run not even 1% of any windows or mac programs. NO usb . no Power point capability, NO camera, NO Keyboard unless u wana spend more money LMAO.

It was purposely made to slow down with Multitask and other OS 4.0 "innovations".
