  • This video made me realize how amazing a performer Elton is!!! Yeah, his voice is definitely not the same as it was before his surgery, or even in the early 70's. But people age, and so does Elton's voice. He's about 60 (!) in this clip and I think his voice has (naturally) a more mature sound, but he's still SPOT ON, in tune with his music. No fake playback here. He makes it work to the best of his abilities. Which is god damn out-of-this-world perfection! A true performer!!
