I study medicine and actually from day 22 on (averagely) the heart of the embryo starts to beat. i used to be very open towards abortion, but now since i do embryology and learn all that stuff it´s really hard to ignore the fact, that the "baby" comes to life at a very early stage.
When your heart stops beating, you're dead. Therefore, we associate life with the beating of the heart, so when a fetus' heart begins to beat, does that not make them human?

Watching this video as a young woman changes your mind about abortion in some way although I am not alltogether against it it is the induvisuals choice I think it is the emotional attachment and maternal instincts woman have because you see the baby developing inside the mother. My friend is 16 and she just had an abortion, and i remember in 10th grade she was totally against it but then later being in that situation she choose to get the abortion...she was a month so the baby didnt look like much..
i am pro choice and i think that in certain situations abortion is the best option..better her getting done by a someone who knows what they are doing than her possibly killing herself trying to do it on her own

@subway108 Just because the baby didnt LOOK LIKE MUCH doesnt mean it wasnt a baby. It had a heartbeat. DONT ever get an abortion....why would you get pregnant in the firrst place if your not ready? WAKE UP! Your soul will be damaged for life. This is killing and nothing short. Hey I know....DONT get pregnant.

I can't believe that it starts to look like a little human at only 8 weeks with a length of 3em and a mere weight of 2g. I was born at 26 weeks and I have very limited health problems, only asthma and allergies. I'm so fortunate, it could have been MS or Cerebral Paulsy or something like that. Babies are so interesting. <3

hi please dont do abortion .I did my abortion in 2004 jun that was my first baby till now i'm suffering for that .Till now i cant conceive again we trying a lot but no use PLEASE wht ever it is dont do abortion and dont suffer like me

Watching this video as a young woman changes your mind about abortion in some way although I am not alltogether against it it is the induvisuals choice I think it is the emotional attachment and maternal instincts woman have because you see the baby developing inside the mother. Even though I have no children of my own I would not want to be in the position to have to make that choice ever.

Im 23wks pregnant.. I think abortion is so wrong... u can stil hav an abortion at 24wks if a baby was born at 24wks it would hav a very good chance of surviving so i definitly think its murder... also i dont understand how anyone can kill their baby after feeling it move.... some people have no hearts

My sister-in-law had an abortion at 4 months. She has two daughters already but was having an affair. She is not a good person or a capable mother so I think in this case I'm almost glad she did do it...seeing how much her kids suffer.

I understand why some women would want to abort, some don't want children at all and some don't want that particular child... but I don't think I could ever do it, the baby is you. but you gotta accept other people and their choices and opinions.

@Gerkc1 Actually the chances of survival at 24 weeks are only 50% If you were playing Russian Roulette and there were only two chambers left, one of them containing a bullet, would you say you have a good chance of surviving? Somehow I doubt it.
More likely you simply made a statement without knowing the actual odds at 24 weeks. Research matters.
