Symptoms include: talking the song, long pauses followed by quickly running lyrics together, dropping the octave, fill-ins like "Ow!", "Yeah!", "C'mon!", and in extreme cases, a complete refusal to sing the song, by holding the microphone towards the audience and saying, "you know the words to the song, YOU sing!"
@splashfizz Yes, that's why I didn't saw Whitesnake here last year. Coverdale is also known for it. It was to expensive to hear the audience singing - but John Sykes came, and I'm sorry only for that.
If you haven't seen Van Halen live then you have no clue and if you have and still say DLR cannot sing "GET YOUR EARS CHECKED"... Eddie is incredible and so is Alex.. Alex Van Halen is one of the best drummers out there. And please do not forget Michael Anthony on bass.... No words.. He was fantstic on bass and vocals.. Van Halen Rocks... They have much to offer....

I'm 46 and this band made me play guitar again. My Dad was a successful bluesman but I never followed. I got good but gave up when I could not find this kind of enthusiasm for rock anymore. I failed but I know new people will always carry on. I have heard a crap sound at many a gig and I know it is not the bands fault. Oakland 1981.......love it. I fucking love it.
