He was the only politician to vote FOR Israel to retaliate against hundreds, if not thousands, of Scud missile attacks from their bordering Arab neighbors. But when the United States is attacked by 6 hijacking Jihadists, we retaliated by bombing the whole Nation of Irac, killing thousands of civilians - women and small babies.

I'm glad I sent in for his bookleet and dvd on why, the reason to, and what was coming (back then), and saw his logic. And guess what? Now I'm an even bigger Glann Beck fan. With the money that would have gone into a money market instead, I'm now about 5X better of financially. Thanks Glenn.

Quick side note, the countries notorious for government intervention in economics are Russia (pre WW2 was unable to fully clothe and arms troops to concurrent super with the US) and China (who currently owns a big chunk of the US). Also in most countries in Europe, the government directly influenced healthcare, banking, and infrastructure (I don't think countries like England, France, and Germany are considered poor).

After WW1 also known as the Great War, the US supplied the materials needed to rebuild (hence the strong sales driven economy). The subsequent downfall was lead to a LACK of economic intervention with loans on margin (later on became illegal). During WW2 the US was notorious for having a slow start and had it's biggest boom during the recontruction of Europe where the US once again sold the supplies and played the big banker with various "stimulous equivalent" packages to rebuild Europe.

The truth is that Republicans are scared out of their minds because they don't have a strong candidate to run against Obama. 2012 will be a landslide victory for Democrats. I'd say over the last twenty years deregulation of the private sector has shipped damn near every corporate job that can be shipped over seas. Tax dollars spent on telephone infrastructure, highways, water & energy production have been there ever since day one. The internet was a DARPA project and programming languages such as C, were developed on grants at Bell labs. Food safety, child protection laws, anti-monopoly, honest advertising, civil rights, all effect the economy. These are first world attributes.

Obama administration is implementing a de facto amnesty that will allow the majority of illegals to remain in the US without being disturbed by Homeland Security to deport them. Amnesty that the administration is apparently extending no prosecution of illegal voting by non citizens & a green light to becoming a citizen even if U have violated Fed law. I'm glad I sent in for his bookleet and dvd on why, the reason to, and what was coming (back then), and saw his logic. And guess what? Now I'm an even bigger Glann Beck fan. With the money that would have gone into a money market instead, I'm now about 5X better of financially. Thanks Glenn.

@HideousAngel I'm a working ex-pat overseas and in a 3rd world country right now, but would be doing the same smart thing you're doing if I were in the states or Western Europe. Thing is, there are people who won't be prepared if/when the time comes, the same people who right now think a guy like you is paranoid or crazy. Those are the people who may be reduced to trying to take from those who did prepare. That gun may come in handy, I hate to say. Good luck!
