  • リー・モーガンのなかでは意外と影が薄い"ランプローラー"~白熱のファンキー・グルーヴィー、ジョー・ヘン、そしてイカシタ、ロニー・マシューズのピアノ #jazzm

  • Great song... classic billy higgins at the beginning there with the snare hit haha :P

  • An exquisite performance. The man exercises complete control of the funk in his horn.

  • So hip, swing on brothers...

  • Wow, fantastic job by Ronnie Matthews on piano, who I've seen plenty of times in NYC.

And all this time I thought it was someone else, who will remain nameless, but whose initials are HH.

  • orgasmic, to say the least!

  • Thanks for the upload ! This is great .

  • Who do you all think Lee Morgans best Sax partner was. Joe Henderson/Wayne Shorter/Hank Mobley/Jackie Mclean

  • @retsevlis I think Wayne Shorter was the best sax he played with, but Joe Henderson was the best as his partner since he complimented him, rather than almost outplayed him like Wayne did. Notice how I said almost, no one could outplay Lee.

  • Go Lee! This is the most groovy trumpet work i've ever heard! and so cool......and tasty and funky as well....and it makes you dance!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm currently reading "Delightfulee" The Life and Music of Lee Morgan.....Author Jeffery

    S. McMillan has done his homework well. A Rumproller is a true delight as we all know: Go Lee!

  • I did not know this one. Also check croquet ballet lee Morgan. I uploaded it yesterday.

  • The "cool-down"(From 9:06 to the end )is just too much!!! We love you,Lee!!!

  • lee morgan's boogaloos are KILLER. especially with billy higgins.

  • Billy Higgins is so killing on this track! Check out what he's doing on the piano and bass solo!

  • @sinisterniik too bad billy higgins died of liver disease they gave him a liver transplant but he ruined his new liver with more drug abuse so he was ineligable for another one the designer of blue note album covers reid hyams had a studio so big he had a 1938 rolls royce in it

  • @spacepatrolman Hi. Don't you mean Reid Miles? I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that's who you mean....

Try googling this: Blue Note 4000 series - jazz album covers

  • @benzuckerman yes thats him

  • There are so many. Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Kenny Burrel, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Tal Farlow, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, MIles Davis, Medeski Martin & Wood, Stan Getz, NIna Simone, Pat Metheny, ...this is a short list..there are a few guitarists I am forgetting...

  • Lee epitomizes Jazz kitch....too bad his old lady shot him..

  • @seahag1967

u mean kitch in a negative way??

  • @umkalzum No not at all.. He takes that instrument and creates a very distinguishable sound. It also has a lot to do with the era...which is classic and such a treat to listen to.

  • @seahag1967

    i agree

i discovered him only yesterday and was really amazed

could u recommend any other jazz artists so creative and innovative??

  • It is one of the first jazz tune I heard in 1986 and since then I am a jazz fan
