use norton ghost to put the image file back but first reformat the drive where you want to put the image file,format it with ntfs.....then on the ghost.....local....partition....from image....okidoki
I am using Norton Ghost 14 too. Anyone knows when performing a "Entire PC backup", will Norton Ghost first, perform a format for the partition before backing? If not, what is the point of the System Backup for if it does not wipe out the old datas to make the partition clean and safe (virus free)?
Or, maybe the format feature is provided in the Smartsector Copying, Enable or Disable?
i downloaded norton ghost 14.0 online. i have it installed on pc and system backed up. now if the system crashes how can i install the back up. when i put the iso cd in the drive and restart the pc, i dont get the message saying press any key to boot from the cd. how can i restore the back up? i dont want to create 4-5 bootable system recovery cds!

Since I custom build my PC, I use this because I don't have a reformat disc. It is a very good program, It is very user friendly.

You need to burn it on a CD or DVD if its image like .iso

did you burn the .iso file on a CD/DVD?
if not burn it using any software- Nero, imgburn, poweriso,
i recommend imgburn

I did burn the cd using a freeware! But it didn't work. I had Nero on my other hard drive so burn the cd using that. Working now!
