Yeah man you lay it down like the kats who played it with ELVIS ~ Really cool, I always loved this tune (especially the bass line) I liked the way Gordy played it in the studio and I liked the way Scheff played it live ! Especially in 'Elvis On Tour' ! He was all over it ~ THEY ALL WERE ! I think he (Scheff) plays a Lakland bass now doesn't he ? Anyway - again GREAT JOB ! I'd like to play drums with ya on it !

First off, great job man! You nail this one. Love your tone!

With all due respect to Mr. Schef, as pointed out by Donoven below it was actually Emory Gordy Jr. who laid down this badass bass line for the King. As he tells it in an interview for Bass Player magazine, they did this track in 1-2 takes live and he played "everything" he could think of in the ket of D, thinking they would re-cut it later, but they kept his original track. Good decision!
