  • The 'TASCAM DP02' is a brilliant machine ! -

I used this for all my demos on my page here ! - :) - pity they never featured a 'Speed adjust Control' - :( - Software downloaded for free such as 'Best Practice' and 'Switch File Convertor', together with 'Corel Video Studio Pro XP' - helps in the final adjustments to your tracks! - Well worth the Cost! - :)

  • the 2488 was a total fail! all i want is a dp02(where its all laid out simply like a mixer) but just add 24 tracks 16 ins and motorise the faders.. it cant be that hard!

but all they've done is make this! a bit smaller and harder to use than the dp02 and then discontinued the dp02 (one of their best products)! WHY! TASCAM WHAT ARE YOU DOIN!!!

  • If it's anything like it's predecessor, dp-02, then it should have the option to burn track-at-once (TAO, unfinished disc) or disc-at-once (DAO, multiple tracks then finishing the disc). That's why you can use CD-R or CD-RW. TAO let's you add tracks to the cd until you decide to finish and close the cd.

  • why dont they build one of these with on board drum machine you know, why hold back? if anyone can recommend a decent 8 track with cd burner and drum machine and usb port to edit through computer reply to this or pm me plzzzz!

  • I just bouth to record church music and I've read the manual and I cannot seem to be able to transfer my songs to a CD. Could some one send an "easy" way of doing this?

I have two songs so far and I can't move forward. I've followed the instructions on the manual but I'm sure I'm skipping a step coz it doesn't work. HELP ! Please.

  • Can you record several songs on it then put all the songs you recorded onthe cd or is it just 1 song at a time

  • All that but should have thrown in a midi sync

  • I HAVE THE TASCAM DP-02 AND I USED THE DP-03 LAST WEEK AND THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANY OF THEM, ONLY THE DESIGN AND THE DP-02 RECORDS ON HARD DRIVE AND DP-03 ON SD CARD.

    DP-02 FTW!

  • Excep for the built in mics (which I wouldn't want) I don't see the diff between it & my DP-02. But yay Tascam!!! My tracks go from deck to internet.

  • @metalmaster839 not the sound card but the fact that its a computer: start up, shut down, all the menus they crash and brake. the tascam is just a recorder, u just turn it on press 5 buttons and create music.

  • Anybody who has this...How good are the mics?

and can i record two tracks-one connencted by 1/4' input and the other by a mic-at the same time??

  • @elsalvi430 yes ude use input 1 for guitar and input 2 selected to mic.

  • @metalmaster839 I think so.

This is a good investment. I bought this over a week ago and it's very easy to use.Plus it has everything in one and it's small enough to take anywhere.

  • if i get this i dont need recording software do i since i can do everything right on this?

  • Lo mejor de lo mejor!!

  • @ricardolambis son buenos los microfonos

  • I've been thinking about buying this. I'm getting really frustrated with using computers to make music.

  • good bit of kit
