Click my name to check out our video made entirely from the cartoons they used to teach children about words and letters on old episodes of Sesame Street! :D
i like the one about the letter g where a guy said "g gorilla", then another guy came and did nothing, then the first guy shouted "GORILLA!" then the second "man" pulled down his zipper revealing a gorilla, who then went ape and became exhausted. then first guy then looked at the screen and said "gee". HA HA HA!
I just LOVE all this retro Sesame Street stuff. I'm a HUGE fan! I'm looking for the Tiptoe through the two lips clip that has a hippie actually walking through 2 HUGE lips!! It's my absolute FAVORITE!!! Hope someone sees this, finds it, and posts it!!!
It's because they think that kids today would be stupid(that's right,STUPID),if they saw 70's Sesame Street clips without sound effects or music added to them.
@wattamack4 Kids today are STUPID. With nothing but social engineering taught in public schools, what would you expect? If parents had any brains they would form an organization nationwide to end indoctrination of their children....and be REAL parents again.
Tip toe through the tulips. An ape dressed in drag singing Tip Toe Through The Tulips. How often do we see cartoons of this calibur on Sesame Street now? Not too bloody likely. Not since Jim Henson died.
I wonder what Tiny Tim would think of this skit.

Fond memory! Cookie Monster also sang 'Tiptoe Through The Tulips' on a ukulele when demonstrating the letter 'U' - and before eating the ukulele!

Does ANYone remember a 70s SS short film that showed a jogger running in slow motion. I'm pretty sure it was filmed in Central Park in NY.
You hear this organ music accompanying & I *think* it begins & ends w/ a close up of a black iron gate.(?)
This sound familiar??

Apes don't wear wigs, sing or play the ukelele.

It didn't sound like Tiny Tim.

Why do the have to ruin these classic Sesame Street cartoons by adding stupid modern sound effects and/or music.

On that level, I trust that Kermit's "between" skit was originally without those horrendous and misplaced chain sound effects?

This used to make me laugh a lot as a kid. An ape in drag. Who'da thunk it? :-P

The Special Letters Unit video released today is certainly something in the same vein as this.

Back in the day there was no bongo drum and tympani on it. And it was sooo much better.

A Tiny Tim reference on Sesame Street. Ha! :) I wouldn't have gotten it back then, but I do now.

That's because it was popular then when NBC had Rowan & Martin's Laugh In.
