  • I would recommend getting a submersible case which makes this camera 100% waterproof to 100 feet under water. However, in snowy conditions not only will the submersible case keep your camera dry, it will also help to keep it warmer conserving battery life. The camera itself, when not in the case is water resistant and would handle a reasonable amount of splashing or snow. Thanks...

  • @MidlandRadioCorp Thank you for replying usually companies on youtube done take some of their time to reply sure will get that case too.

  • its not waterproof right? but its splash proof? meaning if it was snowing and i was going down a hill it wouldnt damage it?

  • This is a GREAT camera for skiing - and stacks up against the competition quite well. The cam for this video was our SD -480 (model XTC100). And the video looks great! Our HD - 1080p cam (model XTC300) will be available this summer. You can't beat the price of our cameras, the attachments (they come with the camera) or the compact camera size!

  • how would you compare this to go pro or contour hd. Is it as good im just wondering. This one beats them both price wise but is this a good camera for skiing?
