Aha, give a kid a circuit board and a desoldering tool ! Now you can start hacking circuits, and I hope you take a look at a vintage vacuum tube radio someday, but learn about high voltage before you start poking around. Keep learning, I've had a great career as a technician, approaching 25 years.
You're better than Sylvia because I can tell that you're not having any help from her parents. I was like you when I was you're age but you had enough allowance to buy all of the tools!
