I just realized why srt4 drivers have a bad rep. They go on videos and talk about their street racing experiances and how they beat all they different cars in their stock srt4. If you don't have videos stop talking bullshit. Ull see this same kind of behavior in the mazdaspeed 3 crowd and rsx type s. O wow your srt4 beat a stock 350z who fucking cares , theres plent of 350z that beat srt4s .
Agree with the other posters. New IC should be one of the last minor mods you make to the car...fuel pump, intake, wastegate, exhaust should all come first. Boost to 17psi after you get the wastegate. If it's the first thing you get you're actually losing power at the wheels.
I've seen a civic w/ the front bumper off "showing off" his large FMIC-Only one side had a charge pipe that went into the engines throttle body and the other side had a K&N filter on it... The things people do :(
It cools at 90-99% efficiency under almost all conditions and has less than 1psi pressure drop at 450 hp of airflow. You couldn't heat soak this if you tried. We have been able to gain 14 whp and 19 ft.lbs of torque on a bone stock SRT-4. 40+ whp gain at 450 whp.AGPTURBOS
Still though- With a BFMIC you've almost doubled the area the stock system has to pressurize before it surges into the intake mani. I had a BFMIC on my NSRT but the turbo, exhaust/intake/tb was ported and supporting fuel mods added. I don't see how the stock system could loose <1 psi if not more.
@SVPrelude exactly you're right.. but let me tell you buddy, with the right shit, u actually gain HP and boost. even with an ebay intake. by the way i own an srt4 with 320WHP with stg2 pcm and fuel injectors, full turbo exhaust with dual exhaust outlet, CAI, wastegate, boost controlled at 21 psi and a couple more things to mention, in spent almost the same amount of a Z but with a faster car
