this is blown way out of proportion and is completely misleading. people can induce their own out of body experiences (see william buhlman material) and then they will *know* for themselves if reincarnation exists or not. fyi, the concept of reincarnation was originally in the bible, but was taken out as per the council of nicea. keep people ignorant, and they become more easily controlled.
Regardless of how you see particular topics (reincarnation, etc), I think the point Alan is more ardent on, is that the new age is an artificial creation, to invent a new, more pliable, manipulatable, culture. Not to liberate the people. And that is true. From teosophy to the Fabian Society, down to the KGB itself, to the Lucis Trust and the UN's aquarian agenda, the top promoters of the new age were/are always very explicit and blatant about their purposes with all this.
And, speaking as a religious person myself (Catholic), I have to say the new age, besides being a control device, is also kinda like a retail chain type super-combo of products, being a blending of all religions: it's superficial and of poor quality.
And I, for one, don't believe you can access any real truth when in communication with some entities or channels from wherever. Just as one doesn't easily trust strangers on the street, why should people trust them elsewhere?
