Most of his hosts are clearly ignorant about the country outside their social and historical borders. This made me wonder if the other episodes have had the same misfortune.
From What I heard Brazil, demographically speaking, is around 50% Afro-Brazillian. Anthony is usually on the money, but on this segment, he might as well have re-titled it "Country Club and upper class Brazillillian cuisines of Sao Paolo". What a boring episode!
I would be so grateful to be there. That kind of hospitality heightens my senses, penetrates and warms my soul. It actually does give me a window of feeling that life couldn't be better. I totally know what he's sayin. Cheers
The part that shows "Claudia", reminds me that the best dishes and the best place to eat is not always in fancy and expensive restaurants, they are where they were borned, and the people with the tradition intacted, I would lie if I say I will not be happy in that house, eating, "singing" and enjoying a real meal, cheers...
I congratulate Tony Bourdain, he seems very open minded person! This guy is welcome in any country! Nice to see there is people out there showing happiness to viewers! This, for me, is a dawn good reality television!
São Paulo is a megacity with many problems typical from developing countries. But if you go to the right places this city can be amazing. Even better if you meet people like those, with a real, authentic generous brazilian heart.
totaly agree with everybody. Anthony looks really happy in sao paulo. Brazil is a wonderfull place. I really hope he'll go to rio de janeiro (if you think paulistas are hearth warm and fun, wait till you meet some cariocas) and minas gerais.
What I saw in these videos is amazing: People giving, living, being from their hearts and not their heads. Warmth, over-the-top generosity, graciousness, outstanding senses of humor and of fun...when I grow up I want to be a paulisto.
That you saw is 100% true. It really happens here in Sao Paulo, and more in the north east of Brazil IMO. Brazil: many faces, placs, differents cultures but the same language.
Claudia was gaga for Tony for sure! All that touching and caressing was not just for show!

What is your favorite air quality? What is your favorite violent crime rate? I like pure air with zero violent crime.

hahahah shit they r smoking a joint in 0:53

It's not a joint. It's a cigarrete, a bunch of tobacco rolled with corn straw. It's very common on rural areas in Brazil.
